yes you would have, hartnell isn't anything great, the nhl isn't set up to be able to carry bad contracts for long periods of time

It's too bad the Flyers dont quite suck enough for higher picks, but traditionally they do well all over the 1st round so we'll see....fortunately they will have a pretty decent core of young,experienced NHL'ers ,tons of prospects waiting in the can and loads of cap space when Pronger, Timmonen, Streit, Umburger and VL's contracts are expired, then they can resume the crazy spending we're all used to seeing in July.

No but you know as well as I do that its one way to get talent.....and crazy spending on great players is different that stupid spending on useless tits.

also....why cant you see it? Hextall bought himself a year or 2 with his LA experience and being a Flyers legend....you see them being all that patient in 2 years?
