buyout Cody
Ennis moved in package for kessel

Moulson McDavid Kessel
Kane Reinhart Girgorenko/UFA signing/trade/Mike Ricahrds
Foligno Grigensons Gionta
Deslauriers Larsson McCormick

I'd like that lineup next year.

I would never want to move a guy like Ennis for a poor attitude fatty like Kessel. We'll have plenty to deal with in Kane.

Maybe Lehtonen just needed some real competition for playing time. Pitching a shutout so far tonight.

I may have accidentally flagged someone's post.
I appologize.

Was it because I mentioned hell, purgatory and devils all in the same post?

If by Satan 2.0 you mean averaging a PPG in his last 4 seasons and having 7 30 goal seasons then yes. Plus if Satan could skate like the wind like Kessel can...
- Stripes77

No, I meant more about the defensive side of their respective games not being exactly stellar, nor leadership qualities, nor toughness. Who is the last Sabre that "flew like the wind"? Holzinger?

Granted, Kessel is a scorer and certainly an asset to any team, but to call him one-dimensional is not a stretch, and for what it would cost to land him I think TM would pass in light of said one-dimensionalness.

i cant imagine murray being very interested in kessel. Certainly not at whatever the cost would be. ennis wouldnt even rate high enough to be a throw in for a trade for kessel. They would want risto/zadorov/reinhart/2016 1st to even get the ball rolling.

Makes sense. One of the fastest skaters in the nhl is"fat" and he has such a history of being a problem.

If Murray is smart he will stay away from Kessel and that crap contract.

Length and term of his contract is rough. I think TM likes his cap flexibility at this point.

you should have been here earlier and seen some of the crazy trade offers some were coming up with for Kessel, it was a joke. Why give up all that for Kessel and help the Leafs at the same time. Trade for Kessel and this team is right back where it was 2 years ago in 2 years.

Oh, boy. No thanks. I like Kess right where he is now. Dion too. We made our big move for now. We should do some stuff at the trade deadline, but it won't be nearly Kane/Bogo big. The draft on the other hand...

I'm talking Ennis, Gringo, Comphre and a 1st for Kessel, someone even said we should take clarkson back also.

I almost posted the exact same thing. I think he paid a premium for 2 guys he wanted, wouldnt be surprised if he tries to poach a few guys from teams in cap trouble, but i think the fireworks are over for now.

Yeah I want the overpaid guy from the Leafs that admitted he didn't skate all summer but a few times. Oh yeah, and he's from the cesspool known as the Leafs.

Both but he's not done, with the draft and the offseason.

You mean in june, July and August he only skated a few times? That's crazy, it's like he only skated during 9 out of the 12 months.

I'm not sure if there are more than five right wingers in the league better than Kessel and people scoff at the idea of bringing him to buffalo...

I would only bring someone such as Kessel in during the offseason, and I think ennis, the other 2015 1st, and two prospects would get conversations going.

I don't think they'd take that for him, unless it's our best 1st.

not a chance in hell I would offer that for Kessel, the Leafs can keep him or pawn him off on another team.

I wouldn't touch Kessel and I like him, that contract is horrible.
