No we dont. Who projects to be a top 6 winger now?

We traded the two best goal scoring wing prospects we had for a guy whos attitude problems have disappeared over the last 72 hours

I have a hard time believing Lemieux will become a goal scorer in the NHL but time will tell. Lots of guys scored a lot of goals bullying their way through Jr to only become 4th liners in the NHL.

http://www.si.com/nhl/2015/02/12/whos-better-tyler-myers-zach-bogosian-advanced-stats-comparison
"Besides a birth year, here’s something else Bogosion and Myers have in common: an inability to think the game quickly enough in the defensive zone. This recent Bogosian (44) shift with Toby Enstrom (39)typifies, I think, the difference between a good, puck-moving No. 3 defenseman and Bogosian. He throws two needless body checks against players who no longer have the puck, as if the point of hockey is to amass hits, while Enstrom skates into position, forces an interception, and initiates a zone exit:"

The notion we got a more consistent player is false.

That paragraph is a perfect example of the argument I was making earlier about being physical...

At the end of the day, does Armia or Lemiuex become the player that Kane already shows or can become if he reaches his full potential? If not, it doesnt matter.

If the deal was Stafford, Armia, Lemieux and late 1st for Kane, I would have no regrets. The only logical reason Myers was even involved in the trade is because WPG clearly saw Myers as an upgrade to Bogo. Otherwise, whats the reason for making the swap on their end?

Or does Kane all of the sudden not piss teammates off? Does he actually score 35-40 or does he do what hes done last two seasons

None of us actually know what happened there, so can you stop with the "attitude" issues? It's getting really old.

Unless you were in the room and saw it all happen, stop talking about it like you're the authority on the subject.

The whole Kane bad attitude is rumoured to have started when the old Hawks went to that franchise and alienated him. Who knows if thats true but my guess is we give him support rather than pissing in his cornflakes all the time.

I believe the paranoia about the goaltenders is more than a bit much at this time. Neuvirth will do just fine for a good team, yes assuming good health.

I believe he can easily handle the job. A backup is all they need, and one that can play a stretch of games when Neuvirth inevitably is injured.

And to me none of the guys we gave up with the exception of Myers are either. If we didn't give up the 1st I would really like the trade.

Are you dense?

We didnt get an established player, we got a what if. Exepct we traded a bunch of pieces for him. He isnt Nash, or Hall, or Tarasenko.

I think its plausible for him to mature, absolutely. Why wouldnt he? Its up to the veterans on THIS team. Hes coming into a new locker room. He no longer has a sense of entitlement for being there 6 years. He also never had a problem ON the ice. I do worry about off ice stuff, but I dont worry about the player on the ice.

Im not even billing him as a 35-40 goal scorer right away no matter who he plays with. I've heard that "he'll be an X goal scorer with a legit #1" too many times over the last 8 years to buy into that argument. He hasnt shown a consistency to even hit 20. And it really bothers me that through 6 seasons he only has 32 PP points.

Hes played in the NHL since he was 18. Hes only 23. He hasnt reached his potential. But he does play the game I like to see players play. I think he can be an Iginla-lite type of player. Thats the closest comparison I can make to his style of game, he'll be given every opportunity to become that.

A lot of complaining about Tyler Ennis on this team, see him in a lot of peoples trade proposals, or comparing him to Afinogenov, yet he puts up equal production to EK9...

People are complaining about Ennis? He is the one player I don't see people complaining about. Maybe I just ignore those posts.

I'v seen no one complain about Ennis. He has been the best player on this team by far.
