No, because I know, no matter how much spray glue Garth is huffing currently in his office, that he is never going to trade Strome. Especially for a package centered around Cody Franson.

It will not be Yakopov unless they take Eller and Emelin. We all know that will not happen. Whatever hockey deal they are looking for, Bergevin will not shake up the core too much. Eller and Emelin will not bring back anything big. If traded together they might be able to fetch an upgrade on D or top 6 but not both.

Didn't one of McKenzie or Dregger (can't remember which one) recently say they haven't heard of the habs showing serious interest in Yakupov? I'm inclined to believe either of those guys than you. Also McKenzie said MB is looking to make a hockey deal and get a player with term left on his contract, and Yak's contract expires this year. Also just don't want to see that floater in Montreal, would much rather prefer Eberle.

The Habs have more interest in Eberle than Yak. Either way, it will cost too much to get this done at the deadline. Habs will tweak the line-up, not shake it.
