No, because I know, no matter how much spray glue Garth is huffing currently in his office, that he is never going to trade Strome. Especially for a package centered around Cody Franson. - eichiefs9
for all the flack snow gets, he has helped turn this thing around for you guys. |

i wouldn't trade that young kid for kessel, although it'd be tempting - Flyfreaky
It would obviously have to be a package deal..... |

It's scary how much he makes now... you guys were right to get rid of him when you did.... Garth takes alot of crap, but his plan is starting to come to fruition..... |

He sure isn't getting flack anymore. I have always maintained that despite the fact that Wang was publicly saying that Snow had an "open checkbook" to spend, that that wasn't really the case. I think Snow was handcuffed. |

nylander for domi, discuss - BestRapperAlive
I don't know how good Domi will be in the show. Nylander is similar to P. Kane. It's a tough one. |

I'll feel better when (if? ) he gets Boychuk under contract long-term. |

And Kessel is worth nothing???? How potent would your top line be with Kessel there? Just putting it out there.... - PhilMcCracken
He's fantastic but his $8M cap hit would destroy their books. We have to sign Boychuk, Leddy, Nelson and Lee in the offseason. It will be manageable with the current cap space and some contracts coming off the books, but throwing an $8M wrench into it would be a terrible idea. It's not a knock on Kessel as much as it is the desire to not blow the whole team up over one player. |

I think Yakupov on MTL would make the most sense; for the style of play and with his buddy Galchenyuk. Having said that EDM would have to get a boat load back because I think in MTL he'd explode offensively:
Throw this out there
To MTL: F Nail Yakupov D Jeff Petry
To EDM: F Jiri Sekac D Jarred Tinordi G Zachary Fucale 2015 1st - AlfieisKing
It's going to take more than that. I would jump all over that. |

They've been talking for awhile now. Isles are traditionally tight-lipped so nobody knows anything. I'm confident that it will happen though. |

Would you not let one of your top two RW's go for the right price, create some flexibility or would it be THAT BAD still for cap??

I mean Okposo isn't going anywhere. We could jettison Bailey and his $3.3M cap hit but he's signed til '18 and isn't really all that good so I don't think he'll be particularly attractive to anyone. Grabner is a $3M cap hit signed thru next season, that would be the likely choice. But still...adding $5M when we need to lock 4 important guys + Thomas Hickey up...I don't think it's worth it. |
