I'll stop when you stop, everyday with you about something it's getting old already

It's banter.
If you don't feel like participating in it , you simply don't have to.

He didn't build the Senators. His uncle did.

I know that Gil.
Still his stamp like some want to give him credit for winning the calder cup in his uncles shadow and under his wing.

From what I understand he was the GM for Binghamton and Assistant GM of Ottawa so he has a very rich and diverse background. Something the Sabres are very lucky to have as their GM.

I will say this. Hat has a point about one thing. How much does an AHL GM really do when it comes to decision making? Most of the roster decisions are really made by the NHL club.

So what's the price for an out for the season Myers? Sad really.

But seriously, I heard a rumor sabres called about hanzel. Is it getting insulting? Lol, go get em Murray! Second rounder?

When he shows me he has some brains i'll begin to listen to him, not until then.

Right now he is playing with Darcy's chips, "Darcy's balls" if you will.

Did Tim help in building the juggernaut that is the Ottawa Senators ?
2007 - 2014 - Ottawa Senators Assistant General Manager
Prior to joining the Sabres, Murray served as GM of the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League and assistant GM of the NHL's Ottawa Senator.

Yep, he did an excellent job there, they are something I tell ya.
Whoa Nelly.

- BuffaloHardHat

So if the Sabres draft first or second this year, and one of those draft picks plays for 15 years, and the Sabres win, you will not give credit to Murray because that is all of Darcy's blueprint?

So basically, Murray has to be on he job for 15 years until he can be judged. Got it.

You just argued your own argument for why he wasn't to blame for...wait for it.....The Senators
- GilPerreault11

Fun fact...most of Nolan's success and a lot of Darcy's success happened when Hasek was in net and Hasek was here before both of them got here.

And he wasn't shopping him. Listen to the interviews again. Said Myers was wanted by Winnipeg toget a trade done for Kane. He called about Kane they wanted Myers.
- Stripes77

He still said Myers was part of the future.

These posts are comic gold.

Are you for (frank)ing real?

Tell us, what was Murray supposed to do, trade for Stamkos and Crosby?

Good lord.

They are in a rebuild!

However, with the veteran players they brought in, should they be worse than last year?

No.

And that's on NOLAN! Not that "beady-eyed little douche".

- grand-magus

Like I said, Tim Murray came in with the goal of winning a Stanley Cup. When he got here, however, he quickly found out setting Ted Nolan up to fail was much more gratifying and a better career move.

I think it was DD that pointed this out. Ted Nolan finished a game over .500 with the best goaltender on the planet and Pat LaFontaine on his roster, though he was injured for most of his second year.

Because Murray is to stupid to know he should give a poop.

Let's just trust what an opposing GM tells you about the health of one his players he is trying to (rape you on) er...I mean trade you.

Really intelligent cat there.

A lot actually. They handle the AHL contract and most of the ECHL contracts. Look at Rochesters team. How many of those players are on NHL deals? Not many.

It's called pumping up your assets to get max value... What did you expect him to say. He didn't think Myers was in the long term picture?

He also said nobody was untouchable everyone had a price. He obviously sees a scoring big bodied fast skating winger more important than Myers.

That is spot on as John Muckler traded for him and it really helped both their career's, especially Nolan's.

Actually, I'm liking this trade a lot. Just wondering why Lemieux wouldn't sign here, when every other team passed him up. You'd think a newly rebuilt team would be perfect for him.

If we're going with that line of thinking, you can't point to his work with Ottawa either.
- buffalofan19

Hence, why I have said the man has done nothing as GM yet except trade 2 intriguing prospects a 2nd pairing dman, a 10/11 year vet with the club in Staff AND a 1st round pick for a dman comparable to Myers and a troubled immature injured took the opposing GM's word he will be fine hockey player.
Traded the best goalie this organization has to play at the NHL level.

Sounds terrific, can't wait for more from this stooge.

He's to eager to apply "his stamp".

I've seen this guy many times in my long life.

He has epic failure written all over himself.

33-42-7 his 1st year with a healthy LaFontaine and Hasek.

Like I said before, you have to have trust in a setting where you only have 30 other entities to work with. Otherwise, you cripple your ability to do your job. If you rip someone off, he's never going to work with you again, which proves detrimental. And that doesn't even start to speak of the reputation you build as a snake.
