I'll admit that I think some front office is grossly overvaluing Sutter (kind of like ours does), but Toronto is asking for a 2nd rounders for Winnik and Santorelli. If in full rebuilt as they claim to be, doubt they want Sutter. Even less likely would they be willing to give up picks.

Jagr carries a significant salary so someone with more salary than Bennett must be going back to NJD to compensate.

There is a change of the gaurd in Toronto so getting a younger center like Sutter for two UFA's is not a bad deal.

Toronto is seriously lacking in both centers and leadership. Sutter is touted as a '"leader" and a "center"
I think Toronto is easily fooled by the name Sutter.

And just because they are asking for a 2nd doesnt mean thats what they're getting.

On Jagr, you're right, but Im still going to dream.

Vancouver wanted Sutter for Kesler last year so I'm sure some other team values Sutter and doesn't realize he is a 4th line caliber center. I'm just not sure it will be a team looking to move one of their own centers.

On another note, that was a softie Letang just scored.

Horrible goal for Lehner. Backhand wrap around from a defensemen, albeit Letang.

First shift Lapierre and Sill get a mini 2 on 1 and Sill follows Lapierre instead of going to opens ice. Play ends with no shot or scoring chance....classic Sill

Another assist by Comeau. He is really looking good. Not your protypical top six forward, much like what people say about Kunitz and Dupes. I'm interested to see what type of price tag he gets in the offseason. He should be resigned.

i think he might be getting himself a salary starting with a 3, unfortunately.

The question is is he this effective with another team. I can't think of another team he would be viewed as a top six forward. Sounds strange, but ...

He certainly has raised the price tag. He has been a bargain this year. Christ, he would have pretty close to 20 goals if not over if not for the injury now. Would anyone have expected that, let alone the 12 he has now? I doubt it.

i agree with all this. but, teams have a way of just ponying up based on performance, and performance alone. he obviously has something going with malkin on the that line.

i do think on another team, hes a quality third line guy capable of potting 15 goals. but realistically, without being injured, he could have been in the mid 20s by the end of the season here.

i think he ends up making the smart career move. signed a cheap show me deal with the pens, potted career numbers, and cashes in and ultimately doesnt match the production elsewhere.
