The problem lies within the way people ridicule Leaf fans. Be critical of the team all you want but don't make fun of the loyal Leaf fans who simply just love their hometown team. We are not stupid (frank)ing sheep. We are the guys that keep the media in the business. We read your (frank)ing trolling garbage (not you, the media) and in turn these people say we are a mindless rabble of morons.

We are real hockey fans. We know the Leafs stink. But don't make fun of us for loving the Leafs. Be critical of the team all you want but also don't make it personal like Simmons or Berger who obviously have had their media passes revoked or were asked to back off once by a player. If you want to make fun of a player all the time in the news and media, you deserve to be scorned by the player next time on a post-game interview on Live television. And when you do, don't get butthurt and question the character of the Leafs or player & then turn it on the fans for supporting the team and players.

i think this is misinterpreted. leaf fans constantly get praise and that's why the franchise ranks so low. No one is making fun of leaf fans except other teams fans. Never once have i read THN or ESPN (when they rank the leafs the worst sports franchise in the 4 major sports) say anything bad about the fan base. It's the most loyal in sports.

There really are hundreds of absolute idiots out there. Hell I remember one guy in the audience in that fan thing before the season where everybody was on stage legitimately asking what Shanny was going to do to get the Leafs a cup THIS YEAR.

Whatever, gets scored on more than he scores, HORRENDOUS in his own end.

Let's just focus on his point totals

1 playoff and in a short season not good enough for the pay and what we gave up IMO

nah dude the Star and Sun writers do it all the time, as do the radio guys... though the radio guys usually use the disclaimer that they are making fun of the "special" fans.

I agree, I hated the (frank)er when he 1st got here....soft, then he seemed to get it rolling....but every time we go into a slump - he's one of the reasons, doesn't score and gets scored against lots.
