Again, on a game by game basis, he's pretty consistent in terms of points. I know he'll go through goal droughts(only scorer in the league with this issue), but he can make up for it with his playmaking ability

I don't know, when I played hockey...I hated when the other team scored when I was on the ice....so I didn't whatever it took ( pulled hair/scratched) to keep the other team from scoring...I didn't do big swoops behind the other teams net when we didn't have the puck.

Kessel is the WORST on the team when it comes to defense.

That whole line is pathetic...it's all on them...you can't blame the team.

The other team gets the puck and it takes 1 pass and its an automatic 3-2 against Phils line.

You make assumptions, I don't hate everything Leafs, not a fan, but no chip on my shoulder either.
And think about it....29 teams might appreciate his talent but alot of teams play a disciplined team that Kessel simply doesnt fit on, and other teams simply don't need what he has to offer Even if those teams are few, fewer still are the teams with A) the Cap Space, or B)the trade pieces to make a deal happen.

I think Kessel would fit in just fine if the whole team was buying into the work ethic, discpline and systems approach (like the Habs). It is when there is no leadership or direction that Kessel just plays when he feels like it.

We haven't seen him with a decent center or outside of the sh1t show that is the Maple Leafs.

Go check out the comments section on the leafs site to any random article about anything. It's horrifying.

Perry is the best winger in the NHL.

He does everything, drives the net, stand in front of the net, battles for the puck, fights when he has to, hits to knock players off the puck.

We have a perimeter player that just shoots, refuses to engage in puck battles and does big sweeping flyby's around the net and at the opposition, does nothing when the team needs him to step up, that is not good enough for a player taking an 8 million cap hit on your team.
