Buffalo will be an amazing team in two years or less.

Leafs will continue to suck.
It will be horrible to see a talent like McDavid in Buffalo.

They will, but I do think that E Kane is somewhat overrated. He's got the skillset, but the CAREsi isn't high enough. Despite his talent, he's running at a lower PPG than Kadri (though in more games), who of course is a guy who routinely gets carved open by some Leafers. IMO Kane is still running somewhat on reputation and hasn;t backed it up yet. If he does find that extra gear though, watch out... |

I don't think Kessel's value rises or falls with goals scored recently. GMs know exactly what you get in Phil. A 10 game goaless drought or conversely a 10 game goal streak will not affect Phil's value.

The major point in a rebuild is PATIENCE. Sure, the Leafs can trade some guys today but they feel and rightly so, that they will get a better return waiting till the deadline.

Why? Buffalo deserves some success and they are well supported. Plus it's not a slam dunk they get him with only 7% higher odds than the 29th place team.
Now Edmonton.... if they got McDavid I would be bitter. That team deserves nothing. |
