I've never seen a more divisive trade... some think the jets got robbed, some think that bogosian sucks, Kane is overrated and the Sabres got owned... it's uncanny... - lumlums
If the Jets waited a bit longer, they could have got somebody else to give them more. What they did was a "win now" type of move but the guys they got aren't even going to really help them do that either. |

I dunno, that Bernier Trade looks to have been a big deal for Nonis.
Bernier was a steal. |

Kane was clearly a guy who the team wanted gone, and Armia is a good guy to get as a prospect in return. Myers replaces bogosian (who is overrated IMO), and 'Peg gets another pick in a good draft... that might be what defines the trade... |

As it stands I gotta think that Jets win this. Buffalo got the guy they wanted, but he's gonna have to sort his poop out and become a pro real fast there.... |

If Bogosian is overrated and overpaid, so is Myers. Stafford is garbage and a UFA. That leaves it to a couple of middle prospects and a late 1st rounder to be better than a guy who has already proven to be a 20-30 goal scorer.
Tyler Seguin got moved for "attitude" problems too and now he's 2nd in the league in points. P. Kane didn't get moved by Chicago and he's in 1st. E. Kane won't be as good as Seguin or P. Kane but it won't be very hard for Kane to be better than mid/late 1st round / 2nd round type prospects who look to be 2nd/3rd line players at best. |

I hate how Champs only have Kessel, Phaneuf, JVR, Kadri. Clarkson, Lupul jerseys.
I went yesterday looking for Rielly, and nothing.
I look at them and I say...
Phaneuf - might get traded.
Kessel - might get traded
JVR - you never know..
Clarkson - lol
Kadri - might get traded
Lupul - always hurt, most likely gone after this year
only two jerseys I'd purchase are Rielly & Nylander. - MCharisma91
and what did they say?

Conviction is the key word here. Legally an employer cannot dismiss an employee based on initial charges. After the person maybe found guilty, yes, they have the right to dismiss. - sloppyseconds2

No, I am totally against violence against women. What I'm saying, some of these gold-diggers get their hooks into some of these high end athlete's and then want to take half of their earnings, while bringing nothing into the relationships. It's been seen in many sports and entertainment personalities. It's their own fault, but sometimes blackmail comes into the equation and sometimes, the trophy girlfriend decides to make their quarry jealous. Yes, it's totally wrong, but there is more to some of these stories than you'll ever know. That's why they usually get settled out of court and a non disclosure agreement follows. The gold-digger wins and the entertainer/sports personality gets hosed. - PrinceLH

Win now?
How is it a win now move when they acquired prospects, a first round pick and replaced Bogosian with Myers?
I don't get it.
Also, pretty sure Kane has been on the market for quite some time now. Not sure they could have gotten more. |

they made out pretty good all things considered.
I think Buffalo wins the trade based on the skill they got back but really for Win they had to make a deadline-seller deal without blowing their chances this year completely.
WOuld have been tough to do with any other team that that tire fire in Buffalo |

Yeah, they really set themselves up well. E. Kane has a higher ceiling, but with Buf and Meyers back there, and getting picks and prospects? I'm super-jealous.
Will be rooting for the Jets in the playoffs if they make it. |

I think Winnipeg won that deal by a fair margarin. Kane is injured all the time and has a terrible attitude. Seguin just wanted to party. Kane just is a douche to everyone on the team. Myers is a top 4 D who will probobly become a top pairing, Armia(in the Sabres thread they raved about this kid before the trade), Lemieux a first round pick last year, Stafford a layer who can be used in the top 9, and a first in a deep draft |

lets just get it over and grab the 3rd round pick for Santorelli and the 3rd round pick for Winnik and the 2nd and some scrub who will never leave the AHL for Franson.. You know its coming and that is all it will be E5 |
