The way his season has gone, I can't blame him.

Realistically, with G's breakaway, Jake's 2 on 1 shot, Cooter's breakaway and Laughton's post, you'd expect that 2 of those wou go in. At 3-0, I think they might have been able to hold on. Just couldn't bury any chances last night.
- Hextall271

This is what I thought too. They had plenty of chances last night, especially early.

You'd like to think they wouldn't sell low on Read at the TDL, but it's conceivable that they could.

Oh, that.. that's very catchy. I absolutely LOVE the way it just rolls off the tongue. I think we have a winner here.

It's really not much worse than Lincoln Financial Field or the Wells Fargo Center.

That would definitely be a mistake, unless they just think he's lost it for some reason, gone through some personality switch with a 14 year old girl like some bad Disney movie. Then I'd definitely trade her to another team.

I think if G scores on that breakaway, we win... Tons of moves and had price beaten.. just didn't lift it high enough.

Why did our D stop pressuring and pinching in after the first period? Thats when we lose games, we stop playing aggressively on the backend and don't contest the puck wrapped around the boards at the half wall anymore.

This team seems to think 1 or 2 goals is plenty

My favorite building name dates to the brief, halcyon days of First Union being the latest and largest predator in the banking M&A game.

The Eff You Center had such a classy ring to it.

They had 3 straight periods of great aggressive neutral zone play vs Caps and it carried over to the first period last night. In the second and more so the third period last night they seemed to give up easy blue line entries.

Mainly I credit the Habs, though. Their speed in the forecheck really hurt the Flyers the second half of the game.

Yeah, I think it had a lot more to do with what the Habs did as opposed to what the Flyers failed to do.

I thought our play in the neutral zone and in our end was great.

It's in the offensive zone, when we pull the reigns back even a little, we are one and done. They lose that aggression, their toast. They should be just as desperate to keep a puck in as they are in their own end clearing and blocking pucks, etc

Again, good teams win games.

Sometimes, two teams play hard fought games. Usually the better team prevails. That happened last night. Flyers didnt play a bad game, they just got beat by a better, more complete team.

He has been doing that kinda stuff a lot this season. Really struggling on breakaways and the shootout. Trying to do too much almost. He cooked Price, but seemed as if he wasnt finished with his deke and failed to get a quality shot off.

Please do not take this and run with it as a "Fraude needs to be traded bit". I just think he has been to cute on his 1v1's

I thought the Habs elevated their game in the 2nd and 3rd period, and the Flyers had trouble dealing with their quickness. With that said, the Flyers still had enough quality offensive chances to win the game if they had finished better. If they had potted one or more of their chances they would've won the game on the scoreboard, but still would have been outplayed overall.

I see that.

The problem is with Montreal's speed they have to keep a forward high when they have the puck in the offensive zone. The Habs forwards are always looking to spring guys on the fly for odd man rushes when the attack gets caught down low or with a D guy pinching.

G would be the first to agree with you that he should have scored there. He was pretty disappointed about it.

Thought Voracek would have scored on the 2 on 1 if he lifted it a bit more.

Laughton's post.

Stuff happens like this vs good goaltending.

Same can't be said about the Habs?

The Flyers had a very good first period. They were very technical. Aside from that they were very outplayed, especially the entire 2nd half of the game.

The Habs (who are notoriously slow starters) woke up, and progressively put it on the Flyers. They adjusted, upped their forecheck, moved the puck diligently and sucked the wind right out of the Flyers. They hit the post 2 times, and Ray Emery had a hell of a night. Flyers had a bunch of good scoring chances but were severely outplayed. The Habs also had a ton of good scoring chances, and severely out played the Flyers.

Simply put: The better team won.
