Alizée Jacotey being the other?

Is that the singer/pop star? I think she's kinda cute, but I'm not really a fan of her.

No totally, the Habs definitely controlled the puck in the 2nd and 3rd periods, but the Flyers did not have a shortage of quality A chances last night. They scored their only goal on the rush.
- MJL

A fair share of one-and-done's on line rushes, but very little cycling/puck support.

I think he has more value to the team (as currently constructed) than a 2nd rounder. So, no, I would not trade him for a pick unless it's a first.
- jmatchett383

so you think he could get a 1st rd pick? or even a 2nd?

No, I don't. Which is why I wouldn't trade him for a pick.

Resign him for 2 years with a modest raise. That's a given, imo

Thanks Bill. Another lack of 60 minute play. On that bad Emery rebound goal, all the Flyers were watching Emery, thus their backs were turned when the Habs player dropped down to score the goal. Situational awareness, and a solid 60 minute effort are the keys to the Flyers winning games. However, I see this team right where it is, at .500.
Bill, hasn't this been the case ever since Richards took over as Captain? Not picking up the right guys, playing for 60 minutes, etc... I realize that Carter was streaky, and would get injured at the wrong times, so I can't blame him too much. However, the rest of the players seem to have developed bad habits, that followed them through their play with the Flyers. No, I didn't forget their off ice immaturity, but their play on the ice seems to have developed into a pattern for the recent teams that the Flyers have put together.

Cycling and puck support relates to puck posession. Flyers had a number of quality chances in transition in the game.

How many players are on this team that were also on the team when Richards was Captain?

No, it's all the Flyers' fault because they're lazy. It can't be that the other team is just far superior to them. No matter who the Flyers have, they lose because they're lazy. Please fall in with the popular rhetoric.

Edit: Flyers need a goalie.

Clearly this team has been infected by Mike Richards laziness. The only solution is to trade all the players, and scrub down the Wells Fargo Center, especially the locker room, thoroughly before any new players are acquired. All the old upholstry will have to be thrown out too, just in case.

They could even tear down Xfinity Live to build it.

That site looks like it's big enough to support another hockey arena.

iodine and rubbing alcohol, applied with spray bottles and paint once every four hours. Maybe throw in some delousing powder and some anthrax for safe measure.

Of course he can. Holmgren left him with a stacked roster, and zero albatross contracts. It's going to be a total bonanza at the trade deadline for Hextall. Assets coming back in droves.
- PLindbergh31

Yes there is no shortage of bad deals on the books, however there is also some good trade chips. There is no reason why Hextall should not be able to walk away from the TDL and draft without gaining some quality picks. He has had a year to access what we have and what we need. No more Hamburglar trades are needed

I didn't think it was a bad rebound. it hit MDZ's stick and Emery had to adjust to the deflection

Realistically, with G's breakaway, Jake's 2 on 1 shot, Cooter's breakaway and Laughton's post, you'd expect that 2 of those wou go in. At 3-0, I think they might have been able to hold on. Just couldn't bury any chances last night.
