C'mon. That's over blown. Former Flyers have only had their names scratched into the Cup 16 times in the last 5 years.
- mayorofangrytown

I know. It broke my heart to see JvR, Lupul, Sbisa, Umberger, Bobrovsky, Meszaros, Leighton, and Powe all win the Cup.

Ha! So, Pouliot looks good too, right? That's promising

The Pens might be playing possum a little, trying to conserve some energy for the playoffs -- you know I usually mock them, but I think they have a decent setup right now unless someone got hurt that I don't know about

- AllInForFlyers

They haven't been healthy all year, and Maata's done for the year. Plus, they refuse to reunite Crosby and Hornqvist and insist upon playing him with Kunitz.

Don't think Canucks were willing to include Virtanen or Horvat in offer to Jets on Kane. Made offer with other components.

It also looks like they've taken the James Neal PP approach and moved Crosby to the left side, taking away his forehand.

Malkin and Pouliot spontaneously contracted the mumps.

The exact value of a first round pick is as feasible to figure out as the exact value of Braydon Coburn. It's totally debateable.

Like I was saying, the Flyers traded the 27th pick in 2008 for Steve Eminger. But they didn't trade John Carlson, that's just what Washington did with the pick. Had the Caps picked Daultan Leveille, it still didn't change the value of what the Flyers traded.

This is how to calculate it:

((Talent / Character) * sqrt(Potential + Grit))/Locker Room Disruption

Yeah, that's great metaphysics and all, but are you saying the 1st round pick Buffalo sent to WPG is without value?

I understand things aren't predictable...chaos, life, accidents, the cosmos...just not really sure of your point.

He taking the back way to try to introduce you to Schrodinger's cat using NHL draft picks as the cat.

He thinks he's smart but I see through him.

No, it has a perceived value based on where you predict it will fall and the strength of the draft in that region. For instance, the #10 -#12 pick in the 2007 draft class and the #17 - #22 pick in the 2003 draft class may have the same value. There is a value, but the value of a draft pick is based on potential value as opposed to the player taken with the pick.

To me, Myers is like Andrew MacDonald after eating one of these:

If Bogo can stay healthy, he's a better player than Coburn.

- Tomahawk

Even if he's healthy I think he's going to get wrecked replacing Myers on Buffalo's top pairing. Partnering Josh Gorges instead of Enstrom and getting 35% OZ starts is a lot different to what's he been doing in Winnipeg.

Speaking of Gorges, he's gotta be on the move soon, right? No reason for him to be there -- hell, he didn't want to be there in the first place
