in defense, i've said this lately. Edm is much better off than TO. Edm was simply bad during the wrong years. No crosby, tavares, stamkos etc. If you look back, who could they have drafted differently? i would personally have take Murray, but he's been a band aid.

I'm extremely trepidatious about moving hall.
he's our engine. And the injuries dont bug me all that much either. His reckless north/south style is something we need. Asking him to curb that would make him a different player. depending on the return, anyone is available though.

as far as ebs; until yaks proves he can actually score we need ebs. He's our only true snipe. Again, not untouchable by any means, but the price has to be right.

as far as the rebuild time, lack if insulation from their rookie seasons, waiting on the nurses etc, it's gonna take time.

Dont take this the wrong way....but hall has huge heart no doubt. To me though he is an uber skilled player with below average smarts. Id be hesitant to build around him....just an outsiders point of view my friend.

I totally agree with all of it.

His decisions are certainly his weakness.
And building around wingers? I dunno.

But I do believe we can absolutely achieve where we wanna go with him on the roster. He has some drawbacks, but he's a special player.

Fuk, we need that top pairing defender and more center depth so badly
