julien isnt giving minutes to krug because he isn't great defensively. he's not terrible, but he's no where near as good as chara, seidenberg or hamilton.

I have some very good friends in the NHL. Matter of fact one of my best friends was just inducted into the hall of fame. I was there. With that being said, this trade is up to the Sabres to agree to it. I think Buffalo would get the shaft on this trade. I think it's a case of assuming jones will be a superstar. He might be, but he ain't that yet. And as the leafs have Reilly already, I'd assume that they also value their only true forward star fairly high.

While I agree with the contention that franchise defenders might be more important, the lack of value in scoring prowess and star wingers is being way understated.

Can't win if you don't score goals. You'd trade kessel and then be trying to find another.
Keith and Seabrook are great. But this shouldn't suggest Chicago doesn't see equal or comparable value in kane
