Oh it has legs, there is no thinking to be done.

That would mean other parts get shuffled around to make room for new parts coming in.

When was the last time a team acquired 3 assets to play right away and succeed.

They could make that move, still not make the playoffs, and are now out a potential lotto pick depending where they fall.

It's almost more risky from a Winnipeg stand point.

With tonight's win over Minnesota they are 7 points clear in the wild card race. I don't know about them missing the playoffs.

If this trade goes down and we get their first, they are absolutely the team that could miss the playoffs of the 3. But then it doesn't take a math whiz to know that.

Not for nothing, but of the players on our team, I think Staff and Myers would be a couple that wouldn't hate going to Winnipeg. Myers is a Canadian and Winnipeg is as close to Minnesota as you can get in the NHL without playing for the Wild.

This. Lemieux seems like a player in our system that is a rare blend of scoring and grit. It'd be very tough to see him go. Armia, I could live with being included in a big package. Very interesting proposal though and this sure has our fans talking on a late tuesday night.
