I was there, 300 level
Thing was, we didn't really know what happened. All we knew was that Ruff was furious...
The scoreboard back then sucked, so we couldn't actually see that his foot was in the crease.
I stayed to watch the cup ceremony, so I didn't realize what happened until like an hour later when I saw the replay at the bar
Ugh... Still hurts

- jdfitz77

There's the cup... And Bettman isn't getting booed! Lol, that must have been the last time that happened.

Not to revisit that stupid twist argument from a few nights ago, but what if Kane was posing with all the cash because he won it in Vegas? Imagine if you won that much cash? Wouldn't you, a s a young man, be tempted to Brag?

Too easy to oaky the gangsta cars when we don't know the facts.

TWGsabres, who I also think has a legit source is confirming that trade is on the table. He seems to think it won't be accepted by Buffalo, however.

Maybe they have to tweak the deal a bit, perhaps a different prospect than Armia but I bet Lemieux has to stay. Who knows, I haven't watched the Jets enough to know how good Bogosian is.

I like that he is only 24. I thought he was older because he's been around since 2008.

For all we know Armia ends up a 30 goal scorer.

Bogosian isn't great, he's pretty good but always hurt. Not to mention Kane can't stay healthy.

I can guarantee this never happens. At least not this big of a trade

- sbroads24

It does seem rather monumental u makes good point about the injuries

Armia + Lemieux seems like a lot,
But remember...
We were talking about a package that possibly sent Stewart (who might get us a late 1st, he'd at least get two 2nds I believe), a late 1st that we have, & Grigorenko or Armia...

That's a package that seems bigger to me than Armia + Lemieux

To get Kane, we are likely gonna have to give up more than we'd like

So just got off the phone with my friend. He said as far as specifics he has nothing for me, just that he heard Bogosian being spoken about. I read him what that guy posted and he said that if that is the real trade he would be shocked to see Lemieux be included as he is liked very much by "the people upstairs".

Poster 1: Trade on the table, so and so for so and so...
Poster 2: This is legit but won't be excepted

Trade doesn't happen, nobody looks bad for making up BS rumors.

Not saying that's what is about to happen but I wouldn't be surprised.

Drafted 3rd overall, played as an 18 yr old.

Has offensive upside and is a tad grittier.

Nice outlet pass

Has injury concerns.

Any trade rumor is more likely to not happen. Poster 1 has correctly called a trade that happened before though.

Seems like that proposed trade would be in the ball park for what each side would agree to

Seems like a lot of pieces though
Idk if something that big gets done
Seems like it would come down to how much Murray likes Bogosian, and whether or not he's willing to part with Lemieux

Yes.

Tallinder.

You don't just make up a trade like Tallinder coming back to Buffalo.

Yes. He called the trade for Tallinder the day before it happened and everyone trolled him about how there was no way it was legit.

Seems like a lot of parts to be moved by a team in the thick of it.

Could backfire in a big way for both sides.

Winnipeg misses the playoffs, wins the lottery, and we pick 1st, and 2nd.

Their gm gets fired on the spot.

Armia and Lemieux become 30 goal per year guys, Myers becomes the guy, Bogosian never plays more than 60 games per year, Kane becomes a shell of himself following the injury.

Murray did say he wasn't afraid to take a chance.

Chevy in Winnipeg, though, doesn't strike me as a huge risk taker though, based on his past dealings

Weird...idk then. I have no true blue "sources" just a friend who works at FNC who hears whispers of things every now and then. I do find it crazy that the same day he hears Bogosian that someone unrelated posts about a trade involving him. I guess we will see.

Kane is out for the rest of the season. The only active player they lose is Bogosian who they replace with Myers, plus get Stafford to play on the wing. They could even give Armia a look.

I think this rumor has legs. Whether it happens or not, only Tim Murray can say.

That's probably why trades this big rarely happen. The more pieces u add, the more uncertainty... On both sides

I actually think the Jets will miss the playoffs
If we got their pick and won the lotto with it... Whoa, that would be pretty unbelievable... I'd freak out & probably buy a McDavid AND Eichel jersey asap

That would mean other parts get shuffled around to make room for new parts coming in.

When was the last time a team acquired 3 assets to play right away and succeed.

They could make that move, still not make the playoffs, and are now out a potential lotto pick depending where they fall.

It's almost more risky from a Winnipeg stand point.

With tonight's win over Minnesota they are 7 points clear in the wild card race. I don't know about them missing the playoffs.
