Is it that far off?
I actually think its a pretty fair trade

Myers for Bogosian is pretty much a wash

Winnipeg might not even make the playoffs, and I highly doubt they make it past the 1st round...
So it basically costs us Stafford to move up about 12 spots, maybe more (Staff is probably only worth a 2nd)

So then Armia & Lemieux for Kane
I wouldn't want to give that much up for him, but I think its fair

What's your major issue with the deal?
Only thing I can see is if u think Myers is substantially better than Bogosian

- jdfitz77

I'm not too big on giving up both Armia and Lemieux for Kane

yep it was so dumb too .. i was like why the (frank) would we trade for Tallinder

he shut me up

- gerbe75pts

Hey someone was on here earlier asking about whether or not Eichel would be the #1 draft pick over MacKinnon. I told him you'd have a good opinion on that.

This just might have some teeth:
@TSNBobMcKenzie thinks Sabres and Kane? Armia has been a prospect mentioned by him? Does buffalo move him? #Sabres http://t.co/Gmi1k3Omqf

- Irish 14

It came out right away that the Jets would want a young NHLer or prospect that was NHL ready...
I think a lot of us thought that probably meant we'd be giving up either Grigorenko or Armia in the deal

My Myers bias aside. That trade is not remotely fair on our end.

I would say it's fair. I wouldn't say it's a deal I would move Myers for though

I didn't realize Bogosian is only 24. He's been around a while.

Just watching game 6 of 99 scf... Wow... We had a power play!

Not to denigrate that team, but does anyone ever think about if the Sabres had won (let me finish), what their legacy would have been?

A) Hasek and some other guys won

B) worst team to win the cup in the modern era

C) Buffalo has good luck for once?

I'm looking at Hull, Belfour, Modano, Zubov, niuewendyke (so), lehtonen, hatcher, Carbonneau, langenbrunner... And we had Barnes, peca, and Juneau... Lol, what could have been!

- Da_Cashman

Good points
And now I hate u for reminding me about that, lol
I was at that game...

Out of all those, I do not want to give up Lemieux
- Irish 14

Ditto that, Lemieux is who I would perhaps miss, but they will have 4 1st round picks this year if this trade went down and replenish the youngsters.

For all we know Armia ends up a 30 goal scorer.

Bogosian isn't great, he's pretty good but always hurt. Not to mention Kane can't stay healthy.

I can guarantee this never happens. At least not this big of a trade

This is either the most elaborate troll job or "aww shieeet here we go".

Given the deal, I'm hoping for the former.

Kane has scored 30 before. You're trading potential for more proven.

Armia could score 30 or he could go back to Europe in 3 years...

It's pretty fair. I still wouldn't do the trade with Myers included though. It's not a deal I would make if Myers is included.

I remember watching that game at my buddys house. When the goal went in, i set my beer down, walked to the door, and went home. Not a word. Wasnt until i got home that i saw the skate in the crease stuff. Dallas was much much better than us. They were better and deeper at every position except goal, and they had their own hall of fame goalie in net. It was a great ride though.

I hear ya... Its gonna cost to get him though
Thing is, Lemieux could end up being very "Kane like"
Only question IMO is whether or now Lemieux will score enough in the NHL to be a 1st liner?
I could see him being anywhere form a 3rd liner that scores around 15, to a "Brown" or "Callahan" that can get 25ish

Lol idk. Personally I think it is to much for Kane, and I really like Lemiux, but my friend didn't say specifics just that he had heard Bogosian's name. I get home from work and figured I would pop in cause I havent been on in a while and the first thing I see is that trade proposal.

Personally I don't think Bogosian - Myers is a wash. Myers is a better scorer. Defensively they are pretty equal.

Armia+Lemieux for Kane could end up being highway robbery Or we could end up getting robbed.

I stopped watching because if I watched, they would loose. Went to the drive in to see Gladiator with my future wife and got some action... Came back home and watched the end off the third and stayed up,watching all the ots.... Yelled out when we hit the crossbar off the draw in ot1... Best chance. Then the no goal was just devastating. A couple of years later, there was the philly goal through the hole in the net in the first round. NHL hates us!

I was there, 300 level
Thing was, we didn't really know what happened. All we knew was that Ruff was furious...
The scoreboard back then sucked, so we couldn't actually see that his foot was in the crease.
I stayed to watch the cup ceremony, so I didn't realize what happened until like an hour later when I saw the replay at the bar
Ugh... Still hurts
