Well in reality we gave up a late first and a second bcs the fact that you have Moulson for 5 years at that salary is a gift that keeps on giving.. I live in the here and now and one point out of the division lead while looking at your team breaking losing records I can forget about the vanek trade. Keep hoping we miss the playoffs you have nothing else to cheer for

Obviously you're in the here and now. When a team has 10 winning seasons in the last 30 years, you have no choice but to take in all the sunshine while it's here.

Sorry but trading Myers, Enroth and Stewart and bringing back D men for them makes no sense what so ever, we need scoring not another group of D men.

Yep and managed to win four cups in that time period. You know stanley cup? The point of this whole sport we are watching youre aware arent you? Would you rather live in the past? What has your team won? Or we can live in the here and now and my team is still one point out of the division lead and your team is breaking all the wrong records. So which is it? The past when your team has won nothing or the present when they're the best team at losing? Which would you prefer?

you're right, in a way and it's probably why schultzie wasn't enamored with these as well...

am of the opinion that you won't be getting a huge return for either stewart or enroth...the sabres really don't need many more bottom-six forwards...what they do need is some size and bite on the back-end to balance out all of darcy's puck-movers....

Sorensen from Anaheim represents a winger that can score...and if you'd like to switch Gibson out for forward Stephan noesen, who has a murray connection, that's cool too

Trading these guys for players that aren't ready makes no sense and D men on top of that. Keeping Stewart makes more sense then moving him for a D man.

Whats with the love fest from people about Cam Fowler ? what has Cam Fowler done that makes him better then Myers ? I was reading earler in the blog where someone mentioned we need to add more then Myers if we want Fowler, really ? like what ? Fowler is nothing and if they want Myers, the DUCKS better kick in more not the Sabres.

D men make no sense to come back in return, if they move Myers to the Ducks ( which I still say the Ducks are a bad trade partner for us) nothing saying we can't get back an NHL winger in return as part of the deal.

I remember when a certain blogger on this site once said that Ryan Callahan was better than Rick Nash.

Right and none of the players that were mentioned in return for Myers would step in to play either.

Psysk would be playing so we can add him and we can sign another D man, this team can't score and that's what they need are players that can IMO.If Murray decides to move Myers some GM will overpay or pay his asking price, they always do.

How has he done more exactly? I'd love to see the facts to back this up.

Oh and that Mantha guy can't seem to put it together in the AHL. Do you know where Myers was at his age?

- sbroads24

So if Mantha is so bad, after being shelved for 2 months with a broken leg and missing the first pro training camp, why are you collectively drooling over him?
I wouldn't give him up for Myers straight up.
Not even talking ++ BS.

It amazes me as to how people from other teams overvalue there players, everyone is the second coming of Gretzky and Orr, it's joke already.

ok...Pysyk up where he belongs...that's six with the sabres...

not debating whether or not the sabres need scoring, but would you be able to get a top-six-type of nhl-ready forward for either stewart or enroth

Fowler is nothing? Really?
Cam Fowler was on the US Olympic team.
Does Myers have anything remotely close to that on his resume?

Someone is always willing to part with a player if they feel they are close, we don't need apackage of D men for all of them. Stewart will bring us a winger or keep Stewart. Stafford I don't know, he hard to pin point as of now and Enroth, goalie will be hard to move as well IMO.

I think Cam Fowler is a helluva player.

So is Myers.

Trading them for each other makes zero sense, unless it's a bigger deal.

that's kinda my point with the latter part...

i'm with ya on the scoring, 89...no question about it...but, if myers is moved, the defensive depth takes a pretty big hit...there's a gap between what's in Rochester now and players like Brycen martin and Anthony florentino who are a couple years away from the amerks

yup...just wondering what the return would be for stewart or enroth...or even Stafford...I don't think it the type of winger they'd receive in return would fall into the scorer category

Fowler produces points at a higher rate.

*waits for better team argument*
