Maybe hate is too strong a word but most here could give you several reasons why his roster spot would be better served with someone else in its place.

No, I (frank)ing hate Zac Rinaldo. Hate that he's a Flyer, hate that he's signed for two more years. Dislike doesn't do how I feel about him justice

Not the wisest decision but I admire the guts.

It's actually pretty nice here, too. Sunny, feels about 60. Not windy. Heat off, windows cracked open

Which do you feel would benefit the team better:

Trading defenseman X (say Coburn) for the highest pick we can get; or

Trading defenseman X and VL or Umerger for a bag of pucks; or

Trading defenseman X and VL or Umberger, while eating a portion of their salary, and getting a mid-round pick?

- GeorgeBailey

If I could get rid of Wheels or Umberger free and clear, but the price was losing Coburn with little return...man. With Wheels, I might drive him to the airport

Umberger's contract is just short enough where i might decline, but i just might not

Sometimes, cutting your losses, if you were able to go free and clear...

Might be the worst currently in the league -- everyone knows that guy, and that is a problem

So first Niskanen knocks Laughton into next week with a clean check, and now he tap dances on his skull. Since when is Niskanen Scott Stevens?

Friggin Pathetic.

It's necessary to be well hydration before each game.

For whatever reason, people seem to think Niskanen is soft

I've seen that guy throw 'em pretty good, a few times -- opponents might want to start watching film

Niskanen is Finnish. Last I checked most Finnish players are hard as nails.

He could've waited until the next Caps game on the 22nd; it's not like this was his only opportunity.

I get it. He even said 'thank you' to Niskanen afterward. But his 2nd game back was bit soon.

I thought he was a Finn when he was drafted one selection before we took Steve Downie.
