I think he should get in to 1 game unless Zepp is able to be called up before that happens.

I think young players are pretty resilient, but he is still pretty raw, right?

It wouldn't kill anybody for him to take the ice, true, but if his technique just isn't close, even I am prepared to wait

Hextall said latest Mason injury not related to previous... but more would be known tomorrow.

Even if that is the case, Emery will not play every game.

Even if it's just for a day or two, he can be around the team, Jeff Reese can talk to him some. That is good

I'm with PLind, though, on the fact that he should not play

- AllInForFlyers

He'll be playing when Emery's hip disintegrates.

I won't lie: I am curious

I tracked him his entire final season in London. I truly think there is something there, but he needs work

I agree, he's not ready but right now they have really little else to go with.......If the Zepp injury is minor & he can come up that is the way to go

They absolutely should not expend an asset, so yeah, if it comes down to it and Zeppelin can't go, either, then yeah, I won't jump off a cliff if the kid gets to see NHL game speed

Not a ton, or forever, but I have always believed that at some point early on, most of these kids benefit from seeing exactly what the deal is

it may not be related or the same but he is compensating somehow when he plays and it is causing a cascading effect. knee, hip, groin, abdomen, back, etc. compensating for one injury throws everything else out of whack. sit him down for the year and work on his overall conditioning for next year.

This is accurate.

I don't think putting Mason on the shelf for the year is the answer, but athletes change their form when playing if they are compensating for an injury. Often, this can lead to other injuries. Hextall, as a goaltender, likely knows this.

Sit Mason for as long as it takes to get him healed up.

i'm due on the ice in 2 hours and i feel like complete ass. duty calls.

my FB goalie group, of which stolarz is a member of, is geeking out over his recall. very happy for him, even if he doesn't play.

Something tells me Stolarz will be on the bench for a game while Hexy picks up another cheap option. Harding would be my guess.

This is all assuming Mason misses significant time.

Wilson's one of those guys who I don't know you want to see a guy like Simmer fight -- that dude is tough
- AllInForFlyers

So is Simmer.

I don't want to see Simmer fight Wilson only because Wilson is more helpful to the opposition when he's on the ice. He'll do something stupid, even Rinaldo-like. It's inevitable.

I think you're right.

I don't think they throw Stolarz to the wolves just yet.

Pretty sure I read earlier on Twitter that at a minimum he would not be joining them on the remaining 3 games of this road trip so they know it's at least a 1-2 week injury or more.

I don't think they've announced anything like that yet. All Hexy said was he wouldn't be making the trip to MTL.

Yeah, this is what I saw.. He does say maybe but I don't see any point in bringing him back early. If their is any doubt then dont play him.

Mason probably out for rest of trip, Hexy says. Stolarz will be recalled.
