I rather have him out there than Emery.

Didn't see what happened, but are we thinking it's another back issue with Mase?

This is what i feared when this first came up, back issues are sketchy because of the unpredictability of them.

Looked suspiciously like spasms.

If I had to guess it looked like a knee/calf tweek a lot more than anything back related.

They just need to shut him down. Whatever it is, something's not right

Play Emery til his hip shatters into a thousand pieces. Does it really matter at this point?

The commercial after showed Mason at the Flyers Wives charity event stopping a puck against a 6 year old.....that was more stretching and effort he used when he hurt himself.....I agree shut the guy down.

From a schedule point of view, both Zepp and Mason should be good enough to handle the tasks at hand. Montreal is always dangerous but beyond that, we see the Sabers and Jackets foyr games in a row.

Shocking that they can't figure out what the issue is isn't it?

I don't even know who is out there for them to get -- I don't want them to use an asset to bring someone in for 28 games

Yes, play Emery. But if it's between expending an asset or having Stolarz open the gate, Stolarz better get ready to open the gate

Never have seen a team with such a history of injuries ...time for a new training staff

They can find someone to play a handful of games without trading assets, or rushing Stolarz.

Just saw this...

"It was unclear how Mason suffered this latest injury. Mason did say on Jan. 27 that more "drastic measures" were considered with the team's medical staff about his knee issue, hinting that surgery was a possibility."

As Bill pointed out, they can also call up Connor Knapp, who played for Buffalo last year, if Zepp can't play

When he came back after the last time, he did refer a question about severity to Hextall, refusing to answer.

I don't even comment on that medical staff -- we've all seen how they can be with their decision-making

Other than your normal need to blame everything including the Seahawks not running on the last play of the Super Bowl on the Flyers...

Injuries that aren't visible on an xray or MRI are not an exact science.

If all the testing shows up fine.
If the player says he is good enough to play.
If the doctor says he is good enough to play in Hockeybuzz world that means he isnt good enough to play.

Outside of Stolarz their depth prospect wise at goalie is pathetic, it's something to address in the very near future & one extra picks would help with sooner.

Zepp is injured I thought.
- hereticpride

My apologies, his injury totally slipped my mind. I'm not as down on Emery as most seem to be. I think this is a huge opportunity for Emery and I'm hoping he can make the most of it.

Didn't look like a back issue..
Look like a knee problem , even more the way he sort of lifted his right leg up as he skated toward the bench.
