Real nice game from Enroth and Stewart last night.

Honorable mention to Ennis and Mitchell and a nice bounce back game from Myers.

Nice game from the defense as a whole as well.

I like the Strachan and Weber pairing. Two defensive dmen that seem to compliment each other nicely.

Weber in my opinion has been playing really well lately, nice play as he was just coming onto the ice going full speed to stop a potential break away.
Nice to see him get some well deserved love during I think it was during the 2nd intermission from the guys in the booth.

Flynn had a game to forget.
Hodgson and his line not see the ice the entire 3rd period?

I seen Lindy leaving the ice last night after the game with a bit of a smirk.
Nice to see him last night.

I don't get why Vatanen would be coming back in any trade scenario for Myers, unless it is a Myers+(+) for Vatanen+(+) deal, along the lines of Myers, Enroth, pick for Vatanen, Gibson, pick type of thing. I don't want Richie...might be wrong but he scares me a bit.

As far as Kane goes, I would push for that trade hard...Staff/Stewie, CoHo, 2nd ...and eat 1/2 of CoHo's celery for 2 years. I don't want to give up on Armia just yet

To get a player like Kane you may have to give up someone like Armia.

I get it, I would try every other option first though.
With my trade proposal...sell them on the fact that with Stewie and CoHo, they are getting 2 potential 20 goal guys, plus the toughness in Stewie...and we eat 1/2 of CoHoo salary for 2 years to give them time to get him playing better...last year he had 20... This year, meh..just an abororition...needs new scenery....and if I have to I'@@ give them T Louis or NYI's 1st...done.

They need to move stewie now and get stafford up in his position to show the league he can be visible. I know he has the points but on a line with hodge he is invisible

Just passing along for entertainment purposes:

More “Myers to the Ducks” speculation.
ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER: Eric Stephens reports on recently rumblings linking the Anaheim Ducks to Buffalo Sabres defenseman Tyler Myers. “Myers can be a piece for a team’s future rather than Toronto’s Cody Franson, Edmonton’s Jeff Petry, Ottawa’s Marc Methot or Carolina’s Andrej Sekera, all potential free agents this summer who are more likely in the rental category,” writes Stephens. Ducks GM Bob Murray is currently on a scouting trip in Europe and denied there’s anything imminent. The Ducks also denied a report claiming Cam Fowler was being offered for Myers. Stephens doubts Sami Vatanen or Hampus Lindholm would be part of the deal.
SPECTOR’S NOTE: The Sabres aren’t shopping Myers, but that doesn’t mean they’re not listening to offers. I don’t doubt the Ducks are interested in Myers, but it’s going to cost them a good young player as part of the return. They won’t part with Vatanen or Lindholm and I seriously doubt they’ll move Fowler.

I know Reinhart played on McDavid's wing in WJC but I don't see that happening in the NHL.
- Pierceme69

Why not?
MacKinnon started on the wing in Colorado, & still does play there a lot.
Its just easier, especially for a smaller player, to make the adjustment.
Doesn't mean he'll still be on the wing 3 yes from now

I don't like Ritchie either, but its possible we could turn right back around & deal him... Perhaps for Kane?
I'd love if Hodgson could be a piece the Jets would take... But I think they'll end up getting better offers
I also think they'll wait till the draft to trade Kane. There's no sense of urgency to do it now

Why does everyone dislike Ritchie? Kid scores at more than a point a game in the OHL.

This is for those that think I "hate" Tyler Myers.

Just a little part of my collection in my 100% Sabres rec room.

big bodied player

beast on pp

not afraid to drop the gloves

no reason to hate him unless you live in fantasy land where there is hockey with no contact

Who cares?

His skating is my main concern. I'll take speed over "not afraid to drop the gloves" any day.

Larrsson,Stafford,STL 1st for Kane. Only reason saying is because Larsson is most likely not going to sign with us after this year.

They don't need to trade Kane for "extra bodies"
Look at the offers we are all proposing?
They can just give us a pick to get Stewart or Stafford, or any other forward they like out there
Waiting till the draft will maximize the value they can get back for him

Lots of guys do
I wanna say there's over 50 guys this year doing it
I don't like him personally BC of his skating & being overweight
He looks good in juniors, but I don't think it's gonna translate to the NHL

Stewart looks like he really fits in, a pick is not worth it to trade him, keeping him is something they should think about.
- SABRES 89

Stewart is such a tease. But if Nolan is going to be your coach next year, and Stewart is responding to him, you should consider signing him. Sorry, I do not see the lust for Kane--he comes across as a far more malignant player than Stewart and their PPG are very comparable in their NHL careers. Also now coming off a significant injury. With some better offensive talent around Stewart, he might approach 30 goals again himself.

I would like to re-sign Stewart AND acquire Kane. Rumor has it they are friends. A line with Kane-Reinhart-Stewart could be very good.

Maybe. You could certainly afford to send some picks for him, and maybe a prospect. You have to really believe in Nolan getting the best out of him--and is Nolan going to be the coach? I would personally shy away from him, he seems radioactive and could really set back the rebuild with so many young players cycling in soon, but I can see why you'd take a stab at it.

I think he is immature to be sure, but he also seems somewhat misunderstood. Maybe if had a friend on the team, especially a fellow African American like Stewart, he would be just fine.
