For a player that may never recover or be the same type of player when he comes back. There is no guarantee he can be the same after a big injury that's a massive risk to trade for that. No one will.

I love how everyone comes on here to convince everyone why every single trade rumor guy is buy low! No kidding people will assume that if a guy is in rumors buy low because he is hurt, over paid, too long of contract, fat, lazy, best years behind him, trouble in the locker room, trouble outside of hockey, hurt a lot, concussed a lot, slept with someone's wife, over rated, bust, fights with coach and so on and so on so my fav team can get this guy for nothing cause we are so nice we will take him |

You leaf fans are always right, Evander kane is untradeable and line up for all those great decently signed leafs is huge. "What are you 12" Ya that's a great original comeback! Never heard that before, thanks for sharing |

Yeah, he really is. Matt Duchene is probably my favorite player in Colorado, but the Avs are better off with MacKinnon and O'Reilly as their 1-2 going forward. His two way game is already top 5 IMO. I'll be devastated to see him go, which seems inevitable at this point.
