Habs move out 4.5m in players and take 6m in ROR back. I dont see how that is a big deal - DDM-Coga
With Habs free cap space 1.2, Beaulieu - 1.2 and Eller and 3.5 = 5.9
ROR = 6.
Unless they are doing something else that is pretty tight |

Nobody said Toronto had to pay ROR $6 Million a year.
They just aren't allowed to complain when they are 10+ points out of the play-off race because they can't see value beyond Goals and Assists. - Fols19
Yeah, if only they hired an advanced stats guru before the season. Then they would be way better!!
Oh wait, nevermind.

At least we will not give up two prospects and a number one pick for him like the Bruins did. - sjfpp
That was a Really Bad Trade, The prospects were a couple of old skates but the 1st round pick was atrocious, think that was because they made it to the Finals.
just think he has lost a step and a half

They have 15 forwards counting against the cap bc of injuries and not putting them on IR. once they get healthy those guys will be demoted. I think they have more space than actually shown.

True but on the flip side you can have a guy like Roberts who broke his neck and came back and had a great ending to his career ...all im saying is i myself dont believe that this injury to kanes shoulder is one that will hamper his playing style - 1theNex
It way not I agree all im saying is as a GM im not talking that small chance. |
|
|
|
Yes but maybe his shoulder never heals right or something you know there just is to much we dont know at this point. A guy like Frattin he broke his wrist i think or ankle and he hasn't been the same. - jake24242
knee i believe. but he wasn't the same. |

I agree completely NHLNumbers is Capgeeks ugly step sister that should never have been allowed to attend the ball.
I thought the Avs have 2 many centers as it is and thats why ROR was playing wing. Not sure why they would have interest in Eller.
Doesn't this team need a big time Dman? |

True, but he would still be an improvement to the lack of puck possession we have now. |

Depth forwads are an issue, same as faceoffs. Mitchell as a 3rd line C isnt that ideal so upgrading him would go a long way to fix the depth issues.
Top 4 Dman is ideal, but I dont see too many teams just forking over a legit established 2-3 Dman for ROR. They will have to take a gamble and get a younger, unproven, but lots of potential guy.
Either way they will screw up this trade if they do ship him out. |

Not sure why in god's name Jagr would go back to Pittsburgh. When he left there it wasn't exactly on good terms ! Pittsburgh won't be going to the Stanley Cup this year, why bother... He'd be better off going to a Western Conference team - twpguy

Price is way too high for Vermette. He's a mediocre second liner and a good third liner. That is not worth selling the farm for. |

Everyone in this city is quick to jump on the guy. They've been that way since the day he arrived. To a lesser degree, this is Tyler Seguin part B.
Player gets moved for party/douche-bag reasons.
Team watches player blossom under second chance because he's 23 years old. - Fols19
It's not the same at all. Kane has been in the league for 6 years, and everything he does screams douchebag/bad attitude. Seguin was in the league for 2 years when he was traded, and it was just for partying too much, not for being a complete tool |
