Not sure why in god's name Jagr would go back to Pittsburgh. When he left there it wasn't exactly on good terms ! Pittsburgh won't be going to the Stanley Cup this year, why bother... He'd be better off going to a Western Conference team

I know I shouldn't get my hopes up for Jagr returning to Pittsburgh, but I'd really like to see it. I just hope (if it does happen) that JR doesn't break the bank in the process.

I've always wondered, why do you guys boo him?

Kane's shoulder is fine. The surgery is a result of team rule 4.6, "If a player comes to the rink in a tracksuit and becomes upset when the tracksuit is thrown in the shower, that player will be subject to unnecessary shoulder surgery"

Same reason we booed Komisarek I guess, negotiated a long time with us just to sign with one of our biggest rival instead.

Although that turned out for the best in the long run.

Kane was playing 20+ mins a night, hitting anything that moved, leading the team in shots, never missing a shift or back to back games and after a falling out in VCR with teammates and violatiing rules he decides today to shut-it-down for 4-6 months.......this is a black mark on his career and a kick in the nuts to the organization.....he is a quitter with several violation of team rules over the years. at the end of the day you have one legacy and 6 years in the NHL he does not care.

At least we will not give up two prospects and a number one pick for him like the Bruins did.

I'm pretty sure you can't decide on your own to get a major surgery like that, that must be on doctors recommendation. Calling him a quitter seem a bit harsh.

Is he still rich enough to make money phones and do pushups with the money weights?

Everyone in this city is quick to jump on the guy. They've been that way since the day he arrived. To a lesser degree, this is Tyler Seguin part B.

Player gets moved for party/douche-bag reasons.

Team watches player blossom under second chance because he's 23 years old.

Harsh on Kane? is that a real statement?.......this team has lived with so much crap waiting for the consistent 30+ goal seasons it is crazy!
He is as inmature as they come. He is not wanted in the room, the team has spoken , that is teammates not management, so he played his one card. By the way in Vancouver he was working out when his track suit was thrown in the shower....watch how hard he plays and explain how he shuts it down. Paul Maurice was just asked how do you play 20+ minutes the way Kane plays them and now have surgery, his answer "you would have to ask Evander?"....that says it all.

Holding a money phone to his ear is part of the shoulder rehab.

He said in his last year in Pittsburgh that he was "dying alive" so he was dealt to Washington. Fans saw him as quitting on the team and have never forgiven him since. He was a great player and I would still like him to come back and finish his career here and have his banner hanging from the rafters.

The surgery is required at some point, but just not right now.in that case the player has a choice on when to have the surgery.if he can play with pain or painkillers without doing further damage then it's up to the player.
