I think its time for the leafs to just focus on drafting and developing their own players. We have tried the quick trade routes for players and its not working.

Kane would be a great pickup for a team thats a contender

This is exactly what we need, more 2nd round picks so we can draft more guys like Brad Ross.

Exactly - like someone else said earlier - with an established veteran leadership core that will make him realize he needs to act and play the right way or he'll be an outcast.

Adding a guy like that to the Leafs right now would be an unmitigated disaster.
