Agreed. The McEichel quest is still in full tank mode. You draft one of them and go searching for a Patrick Sharp type player from a cap strapped team at the draft with the other late first rounder. Could totally change the top 6.

I know I've been saying it for days but it's the best way to turn around the rebuild without having to over spend in free agency which never works.

Get the cornerstone at the draft and make good trades.

I agree
And it looks like Winnipeg is actually gonna trade Kane
I think it would cost us a prospect or two & a pick
They might want a forward that can play now to take the place of Kane as well. Stewart or Stafford seem like obvious guys that could slot in there

I just want to make this point from the main article: For me, at least, The Patriots go down as cheaters. I think for many they won't go down as a dynasty. To say that the 'gates' will be forgotten by most is likely not true.

Not sure what they need to hang on to in Rochester. They definitely have some shuffling to do down there, and just like the big club, they need at least a couple of veterans. I would totally keep Strachan. Hell, give him a little bit of a raise for showing up. He tends to quietly go about his business for a lot less money then Benoit or Mezaros.

Ya, I agree.
Bringing him back makes sense to me too

I could do this all day.

The Ray Ferraro (Chicken Parm)
The Derek Roy (Redheaded slut)
The Drew Stafford (crotch)
The Mike Wilson (cement mixer)
The Sidney Crosby (Bloody Caesar) though the Clint Malarchuk crossed my mind.

- IndianaSabresFan

Ifk about Mitchell.
I think he will get interest elsewhere & prob move on.
I like him ok, but I want room for Grigorenko up here next year.
And u gotta think McDavid/Eichel and prob Reinhart will be here as well.
Hopefully we work out a trade for Kane as well

Definitely trading him. (And Staff)
If we want either back we can approach them in free agency like we did with Moulson & Mccormick

Sure, but *in theory* couldn't that be all the more reason to hire a placeholder instead of the guy you really want?
- Slump Buster

I suppose its tough to answer considering we don't really know Murray's true long-term plan. Nolan doesn't feel like a place-holder though. There's guys on our roster that have responded well to him - particularly our younger players. The softer skill guys like Hogdson and (ugh) Stafford, have been slumping because they obviously don't fit Nolan's system or philosophy.

I think he's def getting traded
Sounds like his teammates are fed up with his antics. I can't see the Jets keeping him now that they're in a playoff race

Stafford/Stewart go there to replace him in the lineup
And we also send a prospect or two, and maybe a pick
