Right now we have a chance to acquire a young scoring winger and it wont cost us Myers. I am all for it. He has skills size and speed. He would look great playing on McEichel's wing for another 8 years. His attitude will change when he gets older. Look at the other Kane. If it takes paying someone to follow him around then do it. Patrick Kane doesn't wear a letter but man can he play hockey. So can Evander.
- Stripes77

The big thing for me is him not b!tching about playing on the 3rd line, and also playing through this injury...
Those things show me his "attitude" has already started to change & he's growing up.

Also, we have an abundance of what Winnipeg might want.
Prospects, picks & guys they can slot into their lineup right now.
It almost seems like a no brainier for both sides at this point.

8 Super Bowl appearances in 30 years.
- dadeadhead

I'm not sure if that's supposed to agree with or refute me, or if it's just a random fact? At least 2 of them are marred by cheating, if not more. And once the doubt is there it doesn't go away. Can't respect it.

I don't think he is worth both Stew and Staff.
- cabin

I doubt they'd want both...
But what do Stewart & Stafford get us on the trade market?
Maybe a 1st for Stewart, but prob two 2nds
And I think a 2nd for Stafford is fair

So three 2nds for Kane...
I'll make that trade any day if the week
And even throw in a prospect as well

I think the trade will end up being something like
Stafford, Grigorenko, draft pick
My guess anyways

Jhonas stats very comparable to Lehtonen's (adjusted for Buffasuck).

Lehtonen .905 2.93
Enroth .900 3.38

I'd take their second and run with it. Call Hackett back and keep Neuvirth fresh for next year.

- Der Kaiser

Makes sense to me
On a personal level, I'm friends with Enroth's gf. He seems like a really nice guy. I wish him the best. He's prob a backup on a cup contending team though.

I think he's def getting traded
Sounds like his teammates are fed up with his antics. I can't see the Jets keeping him now that they're in a playoff race

Stafford/Stewart go there to replace him in the lineup
And we also send a prospect or two, and maybe a pick

- jdfitz77

Why would you want to bring this guy here, so he can poison the locker room? I don't really see why people think he's such a great scorer. He is on a halfway decent Winnipeg team and has only managed to score one 30 goal season, and every other year he's played in the league hasn't been able to crack 20. The guy scores less than what Stafford and Stewart would if they were on the Jets.

Is it possible that he hates the coach, the area, and just plain old does not want to be there?

It would be like if Buffalo traded for Ray Ferraro.

Also, bolded is your opinion.

Winnipeg and Regina are the two worst if i remember correctly. The real kicker is that Winnipeg has seen a steady decline in crime since 03 (i think almost 40%) and it's still comfortably in 1st

Per Capita:

“Homicide might be down 19%, which is good, but attempted murder is up 55%,” said Frank Cormier, a University of Manitoba criminology professor. “So, fewer people are dead, which is a good thing, but the number of people who tried to kill is about the same.

So when they teased him before the game against a heated conference rival, separated by only a few points in the standings, he decided to stamp his foot, hold his breath and stay away from the arena for one game? That kind of not wanting to let his team down??
- Der Kaiser

Obv a heated moment
He came back from an mcl sprain early, is playing with TWO fractures in different parts of his body... PLUS, an undisclosed injury that's he's postponing surgery on so he can stay in the lineup
He's not the most mature kid out there,
But that shows dedication to me

I made a pretty detailed post on the previous page if u wanna check that out

I do get the concerns, but I feel a change if scenery will work in this case. And the cost to get him seems very reasonable now.

Might take more than that
There will be offers from other teams
Maybe we get away without giving up Grigorenko or Armia, but my guess is that's who they'll ask for first

I don't care if he plays for us this year though
It can't be too serious if he's playing through it, so I doubt it affects him next year
