I liked Manning in his last game with the flyers

I think he'd be an OK cheap 3rd pair guy actually

- Marc D

I think he's an adequate 6/7 guy.

Is it true that French chicks don't shave their armpits?
- jmatchett383

The one I dated in college didn't shave anything. She was gorgeous though. We didn't date long.

I don't think I could consider a girl with hairy legs "gorgeous."

Yeah, it was fine and she bleached it so it was hard to tell until you were close.

I've done it all my life. It's wonderful.

I thought he had a great game when he was here. The Flyers can easily move 2-3 defenseman at deadline as Manning would be able to do no worse than what our current 5-6 Dman provide

I'd think the close intimacy would be scratchy.

The correct answer is, "Some don't."

Then we can discuss their nude beaches in the winter.

This kind of goes to a discussion we were having a while back about to block or not to block.

I guess it depends on which 2-3 they move

Streit seems like he'd be hard to replace but I understand they arguments for trading him if they get a great offer due to his age, but it would be a big step back for the #1 PP at least.

I'd like to see them keep Del Zotto also, but again if they get a great offer then go for it.

Agree about Manning. Having another reliable guy around 1M cap hit would be good.

You're thinking of women who shaved their legs and then stopped. I'm sure that is and extra thick. It was definitely not for me.

Looking her in the face could make a day melt away though. It was worth a shot ya know? How many times is a guy from PA going to get to date a girl from France? It's not like I'm a world traveler.

Schultz, MDZ, O'Donnell all played pretty well. Even Huskins (traded for a conditional 7th which was not excersized, may as well have been a scrap) was okay too in his short stint. Foster, Lilja, Gervias...not so much.

I would say it's probably more like 40/60, or maybe the Flyers defense has just been so piss poor the last few years that legit 7th defensemen look really good.

- jmatchett383

O'Donnell wasn't a scrap heap signing. He was a quality free agent signing. He was an older player, which is why he wasn't expensive. You sign players such as O'Donnell to add depth. I'm interested in building a defense that they can keep together as a nucleus for a number of years. If Del Zotto is going to continue to play at a high level, he's far more valuable to keep then any return they'd get in trading him.

Both have had more than competent stretches (year or years) in their careers of playing top 4 minutes, prior to their arrival here. I wouldn't call them doing the same for us this year being extremely lucky.
- Just5

Do you think that Nick Schultz was signed with the expectation of being a regular in the lineup and playing 20 minutes or so a game? Del Zotto was in the midst of playing his way off of two different teams, and was unemployed in August. The Flyers have gotten very lucky.

That's a recipe for disaster. Bargain basement signings of leftovers will fail 9 times out of 10.
- MJL

uh huh and acquiring assets for the future is a bad idea
if no one wants a terrible player like coburn you need to find value elsewhere
