It's buyout proof. The one thing owners have to protect themselves from bad decisions is buyouts. It's a mulligan. Nonis couldn't even protect that. Stupid (frank).

Hard to deny how useless no nuts is. His teams records speak for themselves. One playoff in 4 yrs in Vancouver while taking over a contender. Took over a up and coming team in Toronto and (frank)ed it
Actually, remember the season leading up to Clarkson's UFA year... there were a LOT of people who thought he would be perfect for their team. He was viewed as a really physical, gritty, heart and soul guy who could score a little.
It was only after he signed a ridiculous contract and then completely shat the bed that people's attitude changed. There was a market out there for him and I bet there are a few GMs who breathed a sigh of relief over the last couple years. - Aetherial
Only issue I had with his contract was he was being paid for a career year that was far and away better than his career norm. He is and always has been a heart and soul guy but he is being paid to be a top 6 forward who doesn't have the talent or namely skating ability to consistently produce in a top 6 slot

Uh, I'm sorry but Kane's 19 goals and 22 assists last year and his stats this year which are projected to be worse warrant no more than 1 UFA and a 2nd round pick.
