I can't imagine he gets payed good. At all. Better off working at McD's..

It's probably decent pocket change. When I wrote for rant sports it was based on traffic. Like $20-30 per month, but hockeybuzz gets way more traffic than they did.

I'd be ok with trading Kunitz if it meant getting a young top 6 player. It's unlikely, but a possible package could be made. I really don't know of any team that would do that though.
- drummer829

Trading Kunitz is a possibility because a) his value will never be higher, b) Perron lessens the blow, and c) the cap space gives the Penguins room to find a top 6 rental (maybe 68). Having Kunitz's cap hit off the books over the next few years wouldn't hurt either. Hate to see him go, but it's something to consider.

Its not his full time job... its a hobby that he enjoys, spends time on, and also gets paid for.

Well obviously, I was just saying he doesn't make a lot off doing this.

You honestly think a 43 year old slow, over priced winger is going to come into hear and mesh perfectly with Geno and produce better than Kunitz? Kunitz is what, 8 years younger and under contract another two years. Maybe we can move him next season or so, but now that deal makes no sense

Why trade Kunitz then acquire Jagr? I'd rather have Kunitz. Trade him this summer if you want

If dupuis was healthy, I'd be more for it. I Don't think he would be traded at all this year. if dupuis can come back, if JR makes some good free agency pickups, and Kapanen can hang in the top 6, then i think it's a definite possibility he is traded next year. I just don't understand scratching bennett because he may be an important player in 2 years when Kunitz and dupuis are gone

I always thought Cranberry dek would be poopty for roller. How'd you navigate the dek when it seperated like a foot in the center?

Like i said, it's something to consider. Kunitz value will never be higher than it is right now. Trading him also would give the Penguins some cap flexibility over the next 2 years. Having close to 4M extra will allow the Penguins to go after a younger top 6 option after this season.

The ice teams tend to fall off in cranberry during the summer, I just have to play all year long I don't care how.

I'm not allowed to play ice anymore. Beer league players act like it's game 7 of the cup and my wife said I'm not allowed to get in fights anymore

Yeah... unfortunately... If it was a case of him not playing well and he needs to work on a few things, wouldn't a couple of practice days and a game against the f'in Oilers be the perfect spot for him to show some improvement?
