I am in for the Sutter hate. He was invisible until 5 minutes gone from the third and then he had the worst shift I have seen a Penguins player take since the infamous Gonchar getting walked in Game 7 shift. Bad giveaway, no hustle and out of position. He looked like he should have been wearing an Oilers jersey.

SHould have traded him after he lucked into a few goals earlier in the season

I liked JJ too. Wish we kept him over Sutter, but he got over-paid IMO. I'd take Stempy over Spaling in a heartbeat. JR brought back Goc.

I seriously would trade Sutter for an UFA. Even if you can't keep the UFA, they can find his replacement easily in FA.

To me Sutter and BB are the same. I would have no problem moving either if the piece coming back is worth while. The only thing I would have a problem with is moving BB for some older rental type player. I don't that would happen anyway unless it was a package deal of some sorts. Unfortunately I don't think either have much trade value unless again they're packaged with another player.

BB wishes he can be like Sutter. He is fragile; can't do anything positive whatsoever. Sutter can win a face off every once in a while; provide good play on the penalty kill and is good at converting breakaways. Not a sexy list, but name one thing BB can do somewhat well. I will wait. Should be entertaining. Fact is, he sucks ass. I have seen more of BB than I want and this dates back to his days at DU.

If I have to pick which one is better of course I would go with Sutter but that's not saying much. I will say with lack of the ability to win a face off anywhere on the ice Sutter is the one glimmer of hope in the area. In the grand scheme of things they both don't bring much to the table especially when it comes to playoff hockey.

Personally I would take BB over Sutter due to a mix of cap hit, sample size, and potential. I think BB still has a lot of room to grow and hasn't had a consistent opportunity to do so to this point with his injuries. He could work through the kinks like Despres did if we play him more (and he doesn't get hurt again). Sutter said before the season started he wanted to play a bigger role on the team and so far has not backed that up through his play. I'd bet we could find a 3C just as mediocre as Sutter, maybe even better, for cheaper. Bennett, however, may yet develop into a competent top 6 winger given time.

Sutter is (frank)ing brutal. He turn the puck over. He got no vision, he soff. I never see a centerman soff like this. I'm very disappoint. Because he don't care.

That may have worked before the Penguins were down a few top 4 D. The depth chart is a cruel mistress.

im not an nhl coach, so my opinion isnt worth much, but i really dont get those benchings. for those players anyway. i really dont.

im far from saying he is without blame, and that he doesnt need to improve considerably. but ill take bennett right now, warts and all, over any of those 3 guys listed.

He is probably injured & they just don't want to release the news. they HB will explode & Ek will sue.

I hope sundqvist can come in and have a strong camp again next year. The only thing we can hope for IA for Sutter to pick his game up so we can sell him high in the off season and maybe package him for something nice. But knowing this management they'll think he's the poop and be ready to extend his soff ass. I really hoped he was going to have a better season...

How are you Walshy?

Question. Did you see the game? I saw the 60 seconds that the NHL app gives you & saw Pouliot pass about 3 times then try & jump as far away as possible as to not get hit - not that I saw or heard any hits - listened to Mike Lange for about 1.5 shifts - bloody work!!

How did you rate Pouliot & did you see what I mean?

Edit: Also saw him begging for a shot that no one gave him - looked like he would have scored had he got the puck.

I got to watch it.

Yeah he does avoid contact, so did Lidstrom, Bourque and Paul Coffey.

Doesn't mean his soft.

The back 6 were rotated through all 6. When big plays needed to be made 7 and 58 were paired together.

It's hard to take too much from the game, it was the oilers, the next 2 games will be a good way to measure what is going on.

Both are fighting for a playoff spot.

I'd like to see Griess more and the back to back is a great time to play him more.

Sure was nice to have Malkin back, sure makes a difference in puck possession and good shots on net. He is a beast.

Potential is something BB has yet to show he has. He sucks. I laugh at the people who think he can develop into a top six forward.

I'd be good for moving him in the off season to regain some of the draft picks we lost. I think he'd return something like a 2nd and a 4th from some team. Take the cap space and allocate it elsewhere.

Being good at faceoffs is his only saving grace. I think he would be gone.

JR is systematically getting rid of all the crap that Shero brought to this club. Neal, Goc, Stemp, JJ (although I thought he was great) Im sure Sutter is next, Martin will not be resigned, BB will be gone, Adams, Its interesting to watch.

Agreed. What do all of those dudes on your list have in common?

All soft 'cept Adams.

While I don't hate Sutter NEARLY as much as Bartley, I would agree that this team needs a different look at 3rd line center. Sutter is a good hockey player, don't get me wrong...he's just not what this team needs at that position
