I'm not worried about Halak and frankly I'm not all that worried about the 3 game skid. Just pointing out that both Halak and the team itself need to pick it up tonight. We've had two other 3 game skid's this season and we bounced back perfectly fine. - eichiefs9
I think they'll pull out of it like they have this season before but id be lying if I said I wasnt concerned. |

I agree. The one factor that can change that is Capuano and bad personnel decisions. We will see. - Cptmjl
Truthfully, I don't know why the PK sucks. Do the Isles not have players capable of killing penalties? I know Boychuk was good at it in BOS. You'd think guys like Cizikas and Nielsen would be tailor-made to kill penalties. Grabs and Kuli are also guys I would think would be good PK'ers.
Is it the system? Honestly, I watch the PK for the few seconds its out there before it gets lit up and they look completely out of sorts. I'm no coach, but it looks to me that the Isles PK'ers are over aggressive, putting (or trying to) too much pressure on the puckcarrier and they constantly get burned, have to over-rotate and by the time the PKers are all running around like headless chickens, someone on the other team is potting a goal.
I always thought on the PK you needed simplicity and tenacity. pressure the puck, but don't over-pressure. Get in passing and shooting lanes and make the safe play. This PK doesn't look like it does any of this. |

Honestly thats an insult to RDP - Cptmjl
It may be, but that was about his SV% at the end on his two bad hips and two bad knees, when RDP had the mobility of a rocking chair. |

He was the only goal 2 games ago. - niteislander
So what does that mean? So if Eric Boulton scored a goal he would be considered a goal scorer? |

Its the system not the players. Theres no pressure and the game plan is to keep shots above the dots and depend on the goaltender not try to stop shots or passes. Its the most disgustingly passive PK ive ever seen in my life. You can teach any player how to play defense. In other words our PK is entirely on the coaching staff 100%. |

No, the truth. That they are playing the Flyers, they are showcasing Strait, and expect to obtain a second round pick from the Flyers for his services. The Flyers will, in turn, sign a Strait to a 5 year/25 million extension. - Pete V
