That was me who posted on katie's twitter account that it was from a contact issue. I knew a week ago what it was. - Vukota
also noted. So was it coincidence he took a stick to the face/eye area vs. Philly or was that what caused the contacat lens issue? |

From what I heard his eye had been bothering him for a while and he actually practiced the day before they shut him down. So I dont think the high stick had anything to do with it. My guess is it was a very small tear and that's why everybody on the isles were shocked they didn't think it was that bad |

No its not expensive its just a few grand. The only real risk is infection and thats minimal. Any surgery is going to have thst risk. I know a Neuro surgeon and a neuro radiologist that both had it done. Their vision is pretty important. Its come a long way the last year or so. |

Look what was in my work email when I arrived today.
NBCUniversal employees have a unique chance to secure 2015-2016 season tickets for the New York Islanders when they debut at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center next fall, before those tickets go on sale to the public. Currently with the best record in the NHL, NBCUniversal employees have priority access in securing Islanders season tickets for the 2015-16 inaugural season at Barclays Center. Take advantage of this exclusive opportunity before February 10 (prior to public sale) to secure the best seats in the house.
General lower level seats start at only $75 and upper level seats range from $75 to as low as $25. Purchase tickets through the virtual venue, where you can view the vantage points, pricing and benefits of each available seat – within minutes, you can choose and pay for your seats.
Click here to purchase your tickets today or contact a New York Islanders representative at 844-33-ISLES or email for more information.

I hear you. How it's done I cant see there being any long term negative effects but I dont blame anyone for being hesitant its their eyes after all. Ive never worn contacts or glasses but my vision is going and since they changed the criteria needed for surgery im considering it. Those two guys have been trying to convince me to get it. |

For laser eye surgery, I’ve avoided it. One thing if you do it and later need cataract surgery, you can run into difficulties where they’re unable to know exactly what power the replacement lens should be, which can result in multiple surgeries. My mom’s gone through that. I just won’t do eye surgery because I don’t like surgery. Woke up during double knee surgery to the doc grinding down the track on my leg where the kneecap runs along (was popping out and back into place when I walked, both knees…made playing goalie fun) |

Yessir. Woke up wondering what was going on, was strapped down and looking straight up feeling my leg being jerked back and forth while he was grinding away at it, then some dude in a mask looked at me and put me out again. I was awake but couldn’t speak.
Did not like. Not one bit.
Ps, if you get knee surgery on both knees, don’t do them both at once. At the time it sounded like a good idea to save some time. In hindsight…not being able to walk at all for a few weeks was a bit sketchy.

A guy I work with had hip replacement and was kept awake - they gave him an epidural - 100% numb from midsection, down. Said the doc laid his leg across his chest while doing the work inside the hip. Pretty freaky. |

Ummmm...... Was the anesthesiologist distracted by the well-endowed nurse? |
