The return will be mid level prospects and 2nd round draft picks from teams that are going to be in the playoffs , so that means they'll be a late 2nd. This gives Toronto a couple of decent players and a pick. I also think that Vancouver would hold an advantage over other teams in resigning them at the end of the season.....possibly even get hometown discounts in order to stay in Vancouver? This is probably not going to happen but Vancouver does look like a reasonably destination for both Franson and Santorelli .

Benning has already come out publicly and said he is not trading assets or picks for rentals.
