Oh ok, well I'm glad you're so clued in that you know that.

Don't be disappointed when Franson doesn't yield what you expect.

Petry is on the last pairing on Edmonton... So its ok for you to say his value and your opinion but its not ok for me to say mine and my case which is a better one. Im guessing you work for Edmonton if you are so much more clues in on nhl value

Franson will be the guy team's target after the strike out on Yandle and Petry. No chance in hell you're getting a 1st rounder for him.
- eichiefs9

That's what happens when hell comes to frogtown and the Leafs get 1st for him.
It would be nice but ya 2nd would be what the Leafs will get.

What are you talking about? Where do you even see that Franson is preferred to Petry? You know nothing, bub.
- YzermanIsTheMan

How is he not franson plays on the PP and puts up points his a leading hitter on the leafs hes a big body on the RD and playing top 2 min all things Petry is not doing on edmonton.

Reports are Leafs want a second for Franson and I can't figure they'd want more than a second for Santorelli. It'll likely be a 2nd and a decent prospect or 1st and a low prospect/pick for the package.
- jbs32

1st & 3rd where the 3rd can be improved to a 2nd if Franson re-signs with them.

This is exactly whats going to happen. I do believe the Leafs WANT a 1st, but it'll be a 2nd.. they might get an ok prospect with the 2nd if they're really lucky.

Link?
32 year old LW the prospect better be a "A" prospect for a "C" if thats the trade.

Is Franson going to put any team over the top and make them a contender? Better add Reimer, Kaberle and Finger.

That may be true and I stated his value is a 2nd round pick but i think a team may pay a 1st in a bidding war since big RD are hard to get.

Why couldn't he is any rental player going to if thats your argument. And if not why does any team ever add a UFA? To add depth for the playoff run and improve a area they think is weak. So if a area is weak and you bring a player in the answer is yes he can be s difference maker look at his points just takes one PP to maybe win a game or a series.

Really? Now you're really showing your lack of knowledge. Petry is Edmonton's best all round dman. Takes all the hardest minutes.

Santorelli to the Canucks?! The Canucks have missed the speed down the middle that they lost when they failed to resign.....Santorelli.

Since the Canucks are taking an Oiler's like approach to player acquisition, the Canucks should take a chance and offer Kassian to the Sabres for Hodgson. That kid has the potential to be a great offensive weapon if used right...(sarcasm)

Umm except for PP time that is exactly what Petry is doing. He logs the 2nd most minutes in Edmonton. He led Edmonton in hits last season. He is 6'3 and lbs so not small. Franson might be better but he's not twice the player Petry is.

Thats not what the line pairing shows when I looked it up. That was my impression earlier on in his career but everything I have seen people talk about shows hes not a top guy. If hes a top guy why would Edmonton move him they need D.

I say Bo Horvet and conditional 2016 pick (1st if Franson resigns or Canucks make the finals if not it's a 2nd). That's the trade I'd do for Franson and Santorelli.

He's not a good pp guy, that is why I said "except for PP time" He can play good at evens and on the pk but he's not offensively gifted.

Invade the Leafs thread with GIFs! They love Olli Jokinen ones.

Well.. enough that I got the thread temporarily locked last night because of them.
