I'll probably get slammed for this, but honestly, I'd rather have Dion at 7.
- ThirdEye

If 'none of the above' was an answer, I'd take that... if not, Dion all the way.

At least in his case, even if he's overpaid, his play is worth a healthy fraction of his cap hit.

After this season his salary does drop. If a team needs to hit the cap floor they might reach out. Get the 4.5 mill hit and pay him 3 mill

Flyers probably still will need to eat some money. Lecavalier is not likely to get much attention unless he really plays better over the final month or two of the season. on pace for the worst year of his career

I just don't see it. Maybe if they eat salary like John says, but I think they are stuck with him playing 4th (or third as the case may be now) line right wing.

The Vinnie Bellemare VDV line is getting more ice time then Straka/Simmonds/White so de facto third line I guess

Heard someone say Lawson Crouse is the real deal. He'll play in the NHL next season and in 4 years will be a star.

Missed my Timo Meier post from earlier? Was just for you.

(Serious answer: Konecny and Aho are my boys after Mitch)

There's five players I don't need to see on the team next season. Thanks for reminding me.

How serious did Konecny up his status at the prospects game? I wonder how much weight they give it considering his line mates.

so you like Bellemare?

I mentioned six, I'm guessing he's the one who can stay?

never mind, Simmonds is the guy.

I'd keep Bellemare, decent enough 4th liner

Scouts seem to think outside McDavid he's got the next best chance at cracking an NHL lineup.

He's not making me take out the pen to ink his name on the lineup sheet. He's less than I expected and I had no expectations.

He's got an NHL body already with some growing to do. I can't remember who I was listening to but he was staunch in his support. High on his two way game.

He had a rough world juniors, so I would think it would be pretty easy to get him

I'm in the same boat, he's better than the numbers & what many have to say about him.

For the 3rd-round, hopefully. Ghost-level potential.
