Stewart is not a 3rd or 4th line player.
- SABRES 89

The issue with him is consistency. I think if he is moved it will be for picks. But then TM needs to turn around and move those picks to some other team for a player. We can't pick 20 players in this draft.

It would be nice to package him with a 1st or something for someone else's prospect that is almost ready. But they want to win now. Is that trade out there? I doubt it

I don't see the point in moving Stewart for more picks, we need NHL players for next year. Murray said he doesn't want to be picking 1st or 2nd again next year. IMO I would keep Stewart for the right price.

Neither do I but if he has no interest in re-signing you may as well get what you can for him

My iPhone used to do that all the time... Not so much anymore. Not sure why it worked
itself out.

all this talk about McDavid or bust is ridiculous. McDavid might be Crosby, but he also could be nugent Hopkins, eichel might up like getzlaf or he might end up like jvr. The draft is/will always be unpredictable. Bottom line they are both elite prospects and either one will be a great addition to our team.

He has never said if he wants to be moved, Murray and Nolan have said they want this team to be " big " and he's a big player. What happens from here on out remains to be seen.

We don't need anymore picks, people are to hung up on picks that we have plenty of.
- SABRES 89

Murray has mentioned that he wont let UFA's walk for nothing.
So, when faced with a pick or nothing, the obvious choice is to take the pick....or what ever gets offered.
I dont like it either. And if he played more consistantly, i'd be all on board with re-signing him. In fact, Murray may want to keep him but is waiting to see if he gets too good of an offer for him. He can always pull a "moulson" again.

Everyone thinks these kids in the AHL are going to be saviors for us, Murray said some down there in the AHL may never work out, he has to be very sure what he does regarding trades and signing players.

Which is why he stocked up on these guys. They won't all work out but if a few do or one exceeds expectations that is great. The more you have the better odds of hitting

He also said he doesn't want to pick 1st or 2nd next year and he shouldn't, we should see a change next year not a playoff change ( maybe) but a better group of players.

I figure the top kids in our pipeline have about a 1 in 3 shot (at most) of having very quality NHL careers. If that's the case then the team will be in good shape.

I just hope they groom them like Detroit and don't force them into the lineup unless they're ready. I hope to GOD that McDavid/Eichel are ready. They sure look like it.

Murray has got to hit some homeruns in the 2nd/3rd round to REALLY get this team to the promised land.

Nope. I think we see some moves at the draft and this summer to greatly improve this team. I just am curious how the goalie thing shakes out.

I hear you however, people say a rebuild should take 4 years why ? how do we know it won't take 2 or 3. This doesn't have to take another 5 years before we see a cup.

He did get some players that keep looking good in the 2nd and 3rd. I just hope they translate to the pros.

But Murray is great right, I mean what is your opinion on what kind of job Murray is doing?

Have you seen him help his coach at all this season?

Think about that.

This roster is void of confidence in the worst way.

I don't think the player on the ice has any confidence in the team mate that is on the ice with him to do anything positive.

Once this losing streak got past 8 you could see it in each players body language if not at some point during a game, you'd see it in an interview.

That's the worst type of lack of confidence to have in a team sport, the very worst.

Sorry but in my opinion that has nothing to do with coaching, its just lack of talent period.

Smashingly..He had a primary goal of gaining a generational talent to build this team around in this coming draft and that looks to be coming to fruition. He wasn't going to trade young assets for aging bandaids to win a few worthless games to place this team at #22 instead of #30. After this draft and this summer is when the real building takes place.

We can always find a goalie and we haven't see enough form Hackett IMO as of yet, move both goalies if we can at the deadline and go from there.

Nugent Hopkins is becoming an excellent player. He shouldn't be used as an example
