Well, look at the scrubs that are out there...where is the scoring going to come from? Has to be Sids line or nothing. You aren't scoring, so you bench one of the more gifted guys on the roster for who? a bunch of players that wouldnt see the ice on a cup contending team. 41 should not be in the lineup either, if that was Despres last year, a few of you would be begging for him to be benched...you know who you are. I really hope that 19 doesn't play well his next game, I don't want any of you to say the benching is what did it. I mean, why would you want 19 out there when you have 27, 40, 13, 4, 25 and 36 out there...quality. Hell, you can throw 16 in there at this rate, why does he not get benched? Why not 13, why not 27...they bring nothing to the table at all.

Man this is how to play though....by far one of the best games they played all year....straight to the net constantly....imagine what kinda team we would have if we could turn malkin into this kinda player...ive always thought malkin was too east west compared to the rest of the team. He would garner a huge haul that could spread out the offence even more.

Why not...its not something u should never consider. There is no chance this team ever trades sid..but to never consider what your team could look like for another generation is short sighted. If wayne can be traded....and Edmonton still win a cup..then so can geno

This isn't the first game either, HCMJ has made some very odd moves during the game. I don't even want to get into the scatches either.

Because you can't send a message to them. They can't be better than they are now. Bennett can learn something from being sat and hopefully come back with a little chip on his shoulder and a little more drive.

Edit: Look at Sutter tonight, this has been one of his better games lately. I wouldn't be surprised if a few guys reacted positively to seeing Bennett sat.
