Yeah I'm definitely hoping for that. Berglund has played pretty strong as far as possession goes, but all he usually does is cycle the puck. He can be replaced way easier than Lehtera. The good news is neither are on IR yet....

True. I'm hoping Rattie can bury about 6 goals in the next couple weeks and take his spot.

I think the main reason why Berglund has such good advanced stats is because of the fact that he is constantly peeling the puck back to his point man. It does usually result in a shot on goal, which ticks up his corsi numbers each time. But at 5 on 5 we're talking about low percentage shots from 50+ feet out where the goalie is already set and the angle is not being changed. The only hope really is to get a deflection but by this time the opposing D men are in position, making it even more difficult to get those deflections. It's still not a terrible move but for most players it's a last ditch effort when they've totally run out of options or a quick pass when the point man is wide open. With Berglund it's his go to move even when he has time and space to make a play on his own.

Good. Because this Canes team NEEDS to stop getting points.
- BINGO!

If it is anything like the first few minutes, I don't think you have an issue.

I know this is the worst possible outcome for you guys; but it's your fault for putting Ward in. Blues were happy to let you escape without a point if you let us play the backup.

Blues played yet another sloppy game. Getting too fancy at times and some more defensive turnovers. Great game by Reaves. I now like that line a lot better, who'd of thought lappy was the only weak spot on that line. Hitch played it right putting Stastny on that line because if it were Lindstrom it would have been worse. Did not ten notice Rattie out there really at all. The 3rd line was terrible tonight but what could we expect with 3 guys that don't know each other. Both goals scored against Allen had no chance cause he could not see anything.

Something needs to wake the team up or we are looking at another early playoff exit. We have snuck out points all year long when we should have lost. Shootout is not in the playoffs so we need to find a way to win in regulation or to.

Lots of minuses and lots of room to improve before the playoffs. We would not beat chicago or nashville right now. We can score goals now but our team defense is lacking a bit and our forwards break out of our zone too quick. We are looking for the run and gun pass and it keeps getting blocked creating an odd man rush within our zone.

If you are trying to block a shot, GET IN FRONT AND BLOCK IT, or get the hell out of the way and let the goalie see the shot.

Make the simple play and put the puck in the zone and get the puck out of our zone.

Glad we won but we need to be ALOT better.
2 games 2 days after a 10 days off. i will take the 4 points, but we should have not allowed the other teams a point at all in either games.
