I'm enjoying this streak. Also getting a lot done around the house on game nights.

To burn an RFA year you have to play a full year in the N right? And UFA status is age 27 or 7 years in the N, whichever comes first correct?
- mcleafs

Not exactly sure of the details but I think there's a 41 game rule pertaining to free agent status.

Rielly has way better IQ and speed, and vision
- PinkSock

Rielly is for sure a keeper. I think it's consensus between all leafs fans.

It's kind of confusing but maybe if you have won twice in the last five years it's reduced significantly.
- Santo_44

you cant win 2 years in a row, the 2nd year if your ball is picked to win it goes back in

I agree no one is untouchable. But there are players on every team that you have to overpay a lot to get. That's what untouchable means to me
- Santo_44

we are saying same thing..for a team to get JVR or Rielly from Leafs they will have to overpay huge..everyone else is open to negotiation..bring on Phiily!!

40 games for a year of RFA. Edmonton sent Draisaitl down after 39 so we don't burn a year of his RFA but did burn a year of elc.

I still watch em. To be honest I find myself not yelling at the TV anymore. I'm just kind of enjoying the games.

I don't think you can say a team gets no chance of winning anything. Maybe if they get picked they can move up to 2nd, but if they're already there then nothing happens. And the draft order remains the final standings.

They should be working on the Phaneuf deal. Listen on Winnik, Reimer, Franson ect. Those offers will come.

I don't see what anyone could have against him. He's never pretended to be anything he isn't, hes respectful, hes professional in his blogs, he doesn't troll for hits, doesn't argue with fans, posts content and blogs on a daily basis which most other bloggers don't.

Im glad we have Mike as our guy, plus he's Mike "In Buffalo" from the 640 show!

Watched the last two games for the sole purpose of finally seeing #3 out of the lineup and watching Rielly get the extra ice time. Last two games have been his best, carrying the puck and creating chances. That is the benefit of having the pylon gone.

guess you got a point there, but teams now that finish out side have no chance of winning anything, but your idea makes sense

You know what "transcibe" means right? It is verbatim repeating in text format what respected hockey personalities say in radio interviews. That is not opinion, that is dictation. When you start throwing in "I think the Leafs shoud do X", that's an opinion, which I have no use for from that fellow. Like reading his interview transcriptions, not his thoughts on 3rd D-pairings. In no way do any of those statements contradict themselves.
- Deeps27

I like both.. dont always agree..but thats fine you dont need to .
the radio bits are great. dont have to listen but get the info
