Sadly, the Leafs and the Jays are similar in the fact once they get 2/3 of a roster put together they stop.

I do. He works hard enough, goes to the net. Has a good shot and hands. Is cap friendly. Doesn't seem to be a dressing room issue.

I imagine there is some sort of contractual confidentiality provision, but as we all say, there's no salary cap for the front office. Someone has to run the Knights I guess though...

yeah.. komarov (for wedgie), polak, santorelli (if reasonable price wise), winnik

Santorelli I don't care for too much but he can be on the team.

and add robidas (return will be late pick so better keep him).

keep both goalies, it's a good tandem - the fact that team does not defend well does not mean they are not good goalies.

Agreed, except I would be trading Winnik and Santo. if you get a 2nd for Santo and a 3rd for Winnik great. If you want them back just sign them in the summer.

I'm guessing "the plan" would be to start in the AHl next year and hopefully he earns his way up after Christmas. I like when they let the kids build some confidence during a season by letting them get stronger and more confident in the AHl. Then let him show up in the NHL with some of that confidence.

We are bringing back garth butcher for the goon tank

last summer the Leafs overhauled 40% of the roster and tried to insert role players...now is the time to overhaul most of the the core players and keep most of the new role players

Everyone should be available on the roster for the right price but...

I would not be upset if we kept some of them for certain reasons

Rielly - two games without the pylon he has elevated his game, more ice time the better.

Kadri - Still has that potential

JVR - still hold out hope he can be a power forward like player

Polak - work ethic example

Komarov - work ethic example

Santorelli and Winnik the same but get some picks in a trade and then re-sign them in the summer is the best of both worlds.

Right now who knows. In the future we should have a good replacement but right now we don't have a player to replace his mins.

If you want to keep Polak because he is a leader then why not Robidas? Everyone only says the best things about him and his character, ethic and leadership on the ice and in the locker room
