he can teach "How to look good" classes to the rookies
- Dozzer

i) dietary classes
ii) modeling classes
iii) how to overtrain classes
iv) how not to fall classes (those would just be video classes featuing all of Lupul's injuries)
v) how NOT to block shots
vi) when not to stand in front of the net (when your idiot captain is shooting)

there's lots of development stuff he can do.

No in General, Thunderbird is used here at the office, and has some issues, as well as the FireFox software. So, I have been told by my IT staff.

Absolutely 100%

Those are the types you keep around for the younger players, work ethic, well conditioned player far out weighs a mid draft pick.

- LeafMan

yeah.. komarov (for wedgie), polak, santorelli (if reasonable price wise), winnik

all role playing guys i would look to keep

The Hunter's have a track record of success and winning - that is the culture that needs to be bred at MLSE. I hope he is too.
- Deeps27

so did Burke, Carlyle, Wilson, etc...not saying Hunter isnt the guy...but Leafs have a way of sucking any pedigree outta a guy...

Thanks - broke down and looked it up. Gotta think at least Santo is held in higher regard; Winnik more responsible with less offensive upside...don't think 2nd rounders as a return are out of the question.

Difference is Hunter's built those winning cultures - Burke, Carlyle, Wilson inherited them.

Phaneuf (I'm not a hater but ya, it's gotta happen)
Kessel (Ditto - just makes sense for this team's future)
Lupul (If you get value sure but if not then keep him around to help)
Franson (Gone)
Winnick (I'd prefer a decent contract over the 4th rounder they'll be offered)
Santo (Gone)
Reimer (Can't move him with Bernier's contract situation unresolved)
Clarkson (Impossible)
Robidas (Sure)
Polak (If someone overpays than sure. Otherwise keep him to help)
Gardiner (I'd keep him unless the offer is too good to pass up)

Those 3 you mentioned are so stuck in their ways they wont change, Burke and his "own rules" needs to (frank) off

how many BS rules does he make up?

hes got them for contracts, hes got his own roster freeze, hes got his own rules on offer sheets etc..RC ruins players , Wilson I kinda liked

- .HOHO.

I would keep Komarov, JVR, one of the goalies, Rielly, Polak, Kessel (I keep him until a blow away offer comes, but I do think he needs to go eventually. someone will overpay severely..be patient) and Kadri. I don't think there is much point in trading guys like a Winnik is worth it as you likely wont get anything significant in return.

I pretty much agree with everything you say here. if someone will overpay for Winnik I would trade him aswell.

Polak has another year left, so to keep him is a better option then trading him for the reasons I mentioned earlier.

I mentioned those 3 as examples of coming from success and falling on their faces here...I wasnt a Burke fan either...when he arrived, most fans thought he certainly would change culture and winning and didnt...seems to be a hard thing to do for those with a track record of success..
..I for one hope the Hunters can turn it around if they are the ones ..
