There has got to be something psychologically wrong with that dressing room. It's like since the playoff-game-that-must-not-be-named, this team has ZERO confidence in maintaining a winning-record, almost like they expect to blow it. +1 reason to blow up the team: change the whole mentality of the room by changing the entire room.

Or who knows, maybe it's a planned tank. Either way....Strome/Marner/Kylington/Werenski

Dion is gone for sure, before next season starts. That will be the biggest culture shock.
- The Shrike

Everyone wants most of the team moved. A huge problem no one is addressing is half this team has no trade clauses or no movement clauses.

Brian Hayes and O'Dog on TSN Radio right now: "Every change by Kessel is a lazy change. Watching it live is incredible...doesn't matter where the puck is, or what's happening on the ice, Phil is dragging his ass to the bench..."

ya... not much.

a new gm
a new coach (no offense to Horachek - but no one is surviving this)
a new captain
a new starting goalie
and about 10 other players.

nah... not much.

- BorjeFan4Ever

You are looking at this with very dark glasses.

Yes to new GM
Yes to new coach
Yes to new captain
Yes to moving Bozak
Yes to moving Lupul
Maybe to JVR, Kadri and Kessel depending the return.

You would think. I'm not surprised if he isn't moved. This is MLSE after all.

I guess the biggest culture change is that KOMAGOD gets shipped out.

He's been out of shape, the whole year, it doesn't surprise me. He needs to be bag skated until he hurls his Harvey's!

I imagine that the players probably want out of the whole mess pretty badly right now.

They might even agree to go to Edmonton. OK, maybe after another 20 or so consecutive losses.

Edit:

Mirtle corrected himself..... 3-15-1

Crazy team.
10-1-1 followed immediately by 3-15-1.

Consistency comes from effort. Clearly effort is one of this teams problems.

Unfortunately the only downside to this is that it is pretty damn hard to tell exactly who is the problem on the team.

It is obviously deeper than just on the ice. The team itself has to be a total mess off the ice also. Hopefully management has a clue what/who the problems are in that room. You would expect that more sh1t goes on than anyone outside the room ever hears about.

- Aetherial

I would suspect that sooner rather than later some of the inmates will start to talk about the other inmates... when poop gets this bad you know the truth will start to come out.

Then we can only hope the media is smart enough to let the dirty details come out without incriminating the kids while trying to cover up for the stars...

It's hardly subjective that a wrister from the other side of centre should be stopped.by any goalie. Anywhere. Anytime.

That is not a big issue. Ok, no one wants to go to Winnipeg or Edm but the rest won't mind leaving the Toronto media circus.

But if those guys that are potentially being moved that have nmc/ntc can get away from this (frank)ing disaster don't you think they would say "yes send me to a team who is winning more than 25% of their games"?

If I watch the next Leafs home game on a 3D TV will it look like the jersey is coming right at me?

Only if it's 4K. 1080p is so yesterday.

I think Phaneuf loves being the captain of an original 6 team and everyone in the league hates him, he wont leave. I think Kessel and Bozak love being BFF's, living together. Clarkson took less money to move back "home"....

He lets in weak goals. Lots of them. More than other nhl caliber goalies.

Had 2 tonight.

But he's somehow proven.

Well it's not that surprising. The Leafs were playing a lot of home games against mediocre teams and then went on a long road trip against the West. Not the first time this has happened.

This isn't the Muskoka five era, players just don't get full non trade/movement clauses anymore, it's list x number of teams, twice a year, that you can or can not be traded to. In Dion's case, I think it's 14 or 15 teams either way, so that gives the Leafs far more room to work with than previously.
