In typical Leaf fashion, Franson is having brain farts with a huge contingent of scouts watching.

He wants to stay. That tells you all you need to know about him. Who in their right mind wants to be a part of this poop show.

are they officially out of the playoffs yet?

I am amazed with Smith's ability to play the puck. Not very impressed with Yandle.

What you think they can get back in a trade?
- Yeti1181

After tonight? It went from a possible 1st to 3rd and dropping, lol.

I really don't know what they can get.

Getting out shot 32-15 by a defensive team..

Life without Dion is good.

Tank baby.

- jbold

So if #3 was in? He'd get hit by a puck or two and have it as 30-15?

There's usually a faint glimmer of hope leading up to Valentine's day isn't there? Before the hearts get ripped out ?

You say that now. But what imagine the Leafs without a #1 d.

I think that is reasonable, rather that then a mid prospect, make your own pick.

With the cap space they can get 2 solid players that will contribute.

If he is the reason the Leafs are not dead last in the league, then he is "worth every penny"*

Moving into the top 5 though is gonna take a hell of a lot. Moving into #1 will take 4 drafts worth of picks.

Not really. Leafs have to many good players to be last. They can finish last if they play like they don't care and do not commit to playing team D. The difference between the Leafs, Habs, Rangers is elite goaltending and a real #1 D.
