I have a "what if" type question for all of you.

What would you be willing to give up, right now, to, let's say Edmonton, for their first pick in this year's draft?

Maybe I'd ask the same thing about the Coyotes.

That might give us a great opportunity to get The Full McEichel.

Curious.

I'd give up anything, they would say no, especially if they're picking 1st.

If Ekman-Larsson really is in play Timmy should be all over that.

I mentioned something about this earlier. I think he's a great personality to have on this team when things finally start clicking. He wants to win so badly. He'll be good to have around the kids for a few years. Just have to try and get him through this tough stretch.

I think he's frustrated because he missed the majority of the games during the winning streak, so he's had a pretty rough year so far in terms of getting some W's under his belt.

agree he is worth keeping around with the kids going forward...

This year was obvious tank. Next year you rid yourself of Stewart, Staff, Kaleta, Mitchell, Mezaros and Benoit.

You Bring in Reinhart, McEichel, Grigorenko, McCabe and Pysyk.

Trade for 2 other vets with the late first round picks you have. and get a real coach

Then whatever happens, happens.

I feel like some of these guys will be packaged for those "cap-casualty" players.

Just my thought.

I find it incredibly odd that he has more goals than assists as an offensive D-man.

Love the player, they are never moving him though

Saying McEichel over and over is obnoxious?

OEL will not be leaving that franchise. Behind Doan, I think he is the face.

Yandle will be gone 5 times to Sunday before OEL.

Our First would be one of those pluses and next year, and probably the year after. Plus Grigorenko.

It's unfathomable that it would happen for anything reasonable.

10 of 10 scouts recently polled said McDavid is the best player. Before the year it was 7 to 3.

Eichel will be great, McDavid will be better

I definitely wouldn't do it.

If it was Myers and Grigorenko, sure... But it wouldn't be that easy.

No way. Makes no sense . You get no value out of him . I see Murray trying to rehabilitate him first. Too much cap room here to do non sensical buyouts to satisfy people chirping on internet forums.

It's too early to speculate who will be better in my opinion. Let them get to the league and wait 5 years to make that decision.

Elliotte Friedman was on Edmonton’s 630 CHED on Friday afternoon.

On what has happened to some of the go-to guys on the Buffalo Sabres:

“Hodgson has been the biggest one. And I wonder if he’s a buyout candidate at the end of the year, honestly. If he’s a guy who’s going to end up being in that position where the Sabres try and buy him out. Because he’s been a fourth-liner this year. They’ve even moved him off center. Clearly he’s in Ted Nolan’s dog house. Maybe – I don’t know – maybe he just needs a fresh start somewhere.

“I was a huge Cody Hodgson fan when he got drafted because I saw him a bit here playing in the Ontario Hockey League. And I don’t know whether it was his back injury, or whatever happened to him in Vancouver – him and Alain Vigneault were not on the same page – but he has seriously not been the same player.

“And I wonder if at this point in time he does get a buyout at the end of the year.”

i was so mad darcy gave this guy that contract..however he has been so unproductive that murray wont be ble to get anything for him. at this point just keep him and hope skating coach can help him, he helps you reach the salary floor and maybe if he gets his game going next year trade him in 2016.he is a mystery, supposedly works hard and obviously was highly thought of few years back..
