It is very confusing. Is developing them in a lower league the reason why? Too much focus on one area of a team?

No offense to Oilers fans, but in really hope McDavid & Eichel go to Buffalo & the Coyotes. Edm has has lots of top picks. Getting one of those guys could be that start to save that franchise. Oilers will still end up with one of Hannifin, Marner, Crouse, or Strome...
That's a really nice piece still to go along with the rest of their young core. I like that they aren't rushing Nurse, he'll prob be ready next year & help their defense.
Just need to find a goalie. I think Enroth/Neuvirth could end up there

I've had a rough year, so I doubt it. I'd have to leapfrog about 160 people to make it.

They definitely got the skill to be in the NHL. It's just mentally, them throwing their young guys out there is hurting them, I think they could of used some time in a lesser league to mature .

We only have 2 real prospects in the AHL in Grigorenko and Armia. And those are questionable. Well Pysyk too but he's been forced to take one for the team based on politics.

Delaurias was out of his league on that one. Don't see that often.

Dangerous hit by him. He deserved that fight. You have to respect that. He did not get killed, and landed a couple.

They didn't rush Girgensons either, let him get some playoff experience in the ahl. then brought him up the next year.

Na... The Oilers are on the right track, its just taking a while. They still have some really nice talent.
Look at teams like the Leafs or Calgary that suffer in mediocrity for about a decade. Finally Calgary looks to have gotten it together, but they should've torn it down about 6-7yrs ago & their be in even better shape now.
