Wtf game were u watching? "wore us down".....they couldn't even touch the puck there for 8 straight minutes in the 3rd. We had them right where we wanted them and then the refs bailed them out, just like they did late in the 1st(when we should have had a 5v3) and early in the 2nd(when they made that BS call on Nordstrom to even out the # of calls). LA looked like the "very beatable" team in tonights game.

LOL whatever dude. Hawks got 6 shots in the third...impressive.

Kings WON this game how they win all the games. They battle, grind, hit, scrap, get to the net, get sticks in the lane, on pucks...they find a way.

Give credit to them is hard to do I know, but that's the damn truth. They get it done on scoreboard, because they have more than 1 way to do it...they got skill and then they got a bunch of tough as nails guys who spend 60 minutes pounding the other team.

But lets go with your narrative...Hawks schooled Kings, win stolen by corrupt refs.

Agree completely...

After gaining the lead, there were numerous chances to extend the margin.

Didn't happen...game lost.

Hawks have left a dozen points on the ice this year...not good for a club with big plans.

Hey, we lost period. Crow let in two soft goals , Toews looses a critical face off, Sharp, Kane , Richards made only token appearances in the third,Coach literally only played with 2 1/2 lines and the rest of the boys got tired out playing heavy duty minutes. Simple as that. Of course the stripes didn't help us any. Bickell again a no show, trade him for a future consideration to get some cap space so we can get a center that stays in front of the net to screen and get the garbage goals.

yeah helluva zebra win for the bad guys in black...

phuck this game....definately played well enough for 1 or 2 points

- bogiedoc

No, they didn't: gave up 3 leads, allowed two goals in the last six minutes of the game, couldn't win an own-zone face-off, couldn't clear when they had chances on the tying goal.

Too many third-period melt-downs - championship teams shut the opponents down in the last 10 minutes of close games - Hawks haven't been able to do that against Winnipeg, Dallas, now LA.

Mistakes beat you in a game like that.

Saad could and should have cleared the puck on the 3rd goal, didn't recognize #44 pinching down the boards.

2nd goal Carter beats Toews off the wall and Oduya takes himself right out of position.

4th goal Toews gets beat clean on the draw by Kopitar.

Can't blame all those little things on the refs.

Saad didn't clear it because he heard Regher coming. NOT TOUGH ENOUGH. Regher was hitting everything that moved and that type of physical presence eventually lead to the Kings getting that goal.

But refs stole game from hawks...Hawks got 4 PowerPlays, Kings 2....and Kings scored the same amount on their PP than Hawks. FAIL!

1, 2,3 you pick em . He had a hard time picking up the puck with only one guy in front of him. Wasn't his day...we all have them at times.

Nordstrom, Rasputin or what ever his name is, nice call ups Stan! Bob Murray would have probably called up, Players like McNiell, Danault , Mashintor, ect... If they were in his poker hand ! We have enough guys that stay off to the side & skate around with the proverbial dozen eggs in the pant pocket without breaking them. Pat Boyle & Jammer talking about it right now! Think I'll pour myself a glass of Koolaid before bed!on to Anahiem !

Refs cheated Hawks. Crawford bad tonight.

The idiocy is flowing strong.

ANYONE who thinks those goals were soft hasn't got a clue. one a rope, one freaking deflected. one was the "interference" play, #1 was a perfect shot...Crow HAD to play deep in his net to protect against Carter coming to the net, but Carter skated out and pulled a shot. Soft? Good lord.

Its a joke Rob. Carter walked in all alone on the second. The first Is a rocket from the slot by a goal scorer. the third his head is hit as the shot is coming. The fourth hit Brown's stick and went in. Softies all of them

Elbows, are you trying to tell me a goalie who gave up 5 goals is not part of the problem why the team lost?

Refs scoreboard reffed tonight. Shaw was mauled all night. Never got a call. I don't blame thr refs but to say they had no effect on the game is naive. Just like saying the Hawks were run out of the building.

Agree...CC is the last one to point a finger at.

So be it...Hawks just aren't a very good club at the moment, and it'll cost 'em in the standings. The central is too damn good and the club that stumbles the most will drop fast.

The stench of wildcard is getting strong.

When you start making the "they had an effect on the game excuse" then you are excusing the weaknesses within the team.

The one no call on the interference against Shaw was bad, but that was early in the game and the Hawks were on a PP anyway. Hard to get a call in that situation. Losing teams look to the refs to bail them out. Oduya should have gotten a hold tonight, refs missed it. It happens. Hawks had twice the PowerPlay time than the Kings....what will it take to beat them? An 8-2 PowerPlay advantage? Talk about inspiring confidence.

Hawks NOT tough enough, just like last year. Kings make the money plays. And they don't do it with finesse and pizzazz, they do it with tremendous toughness and grit. Something the Hawks have in terribly low supply.
